Their speech? Are the characters realistic? Do they change? Are there clear-cut heroes and villains? Setting: How does the setting accentuate the theme? What details reveal the setting - costumes? Sets? Props? Makeup? Does the film/play specifically state a time and place? How important is the setting to the movie/play as a whole? Note recurring visual images, symbols.
