*Swish*
Don't know if this has been already posted but I think I'm going to post it again since he reached the 8th spot With Kobe passing Hakeem on the alltime scoring list just how high do you think he will finish? 1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 38,387 2. Karl Malone 36,928 3. Michael Jordan 32,292 4. Wilt Chamberlain 31,419 5. Shaquille O'Neal 28,587 6. Moses Malone 27,409 7. Elvin Hayes 27,313 8. Kobe Bryant 26,972 9. Hakeem Olajuwon 26,946 10. Oscar Robertson 26,710 I hope he could get past Shaq. That would be great for him.
Clutch
i think he will get around 30k-32k when he's done, which would put him ahead of shaq and possibly wilt with 5th-4th all time Edited January 30, 2011 by Clutch

Nitro
This season? He'll probably get to 6th, assuming no injuries. By the end of his career, I expect him to pass Jordan and finish somewhere between MJ and Malone.
JYD
I don't think he'll reach Jordan I think he'll be right behind him though.

Oliver P
I think that if he stays healthy it seems very likely that he will pass Jordan. In fact I even think that Kobe could play until the age of 40 if his body allows him to do so and he could still average around 20 PPG at this age (Jordan did it despite the fact that he had retired for three years and had a few injuries...). So I think that Kobe has a shot at passing Malone, I definitely wouldn't be surprised to see him doing so. As for Jabbar it might seem very doubtful but who knows.. It's theorically possible. Five more years of 24.4 PPG gets him 10,000 more points. So if he has 36 000 pts at the age of 37 and can still average around 20 until the age of 40, he could score around 4500 pts more and so even be at more than 40 000. Which would be huge... I'm not saying that he will, it's gonna be tough for sure, but yes it is possible.
CaliCurbStomppa
I do believe Kobe can make top 5 before he retires but didn't Kobe say something about retiring in few years so he can play basketball in Europe or something? Sħãlïq™
At the pace he's going now, he'll finish the season with 27,857 points. If he averages another 25.2 next season, he'll pass Shaq and will be sitting at 29,923. Another? He'll pass Wilt and tail Michael Jordan. If I were a betting man, I'd take a gamble and say Kobe will end up 3rd on the list.Ever thought about the lines in bold:...Twelve-year primes are going to stretch to 15. Fifteen-year careers are going to stretch past 20. The 20,000 Point Club will become the 30,000 Point Club. It's not just that records will be made and stretched, or that we'll be seeing things we've never seen before. For the first time, basketball records might actually start mattering beyond "100 points," "72 wins," "33 straight," "11 rings" and "However Many Points Kareem Ended Up With." And if you want to think about something truly frightening, consider the following things: 1. LeBron James passed 16,000 points a few weeks ago. It took him fewer than 600 games. 2. Barring injury and a prolonged lockout, by the end of his 10th season (2012-13), LeBron should be sitting at 22,000 points. 3. If LeBron plays the next seven and a half seasons 85 percent as well as he played the previous seven and a half seasons, he'll be sitting at 30,000 points, 7,500 assists and 7,500 rebounds ... and he'll be 33 years old. A few months older than Kobe right now.http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/110128&sportCat=nba 1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 38,387 2. Karl Malone 36,928 3. Michael Jordan 32,292 4.
