Do you think Phil should sit out Pau for a couple of games?

I think that's whats needed right now. Pau has looked just flat out terrible in the last month or so. The 40+ minutes he averaged while Bynum was out seemed to really took a hit on his body. The guy just looks tired and slow out there from the opening minutes, and he's not even trying to be aggressive and get some rebs.

I say let Gasol rest for the next couple of home games, start Drew and Odom front court.

Your thoughts?

No. Now that Bynum is back, cut his minutes a bit. He'll have most of All-Star weekend to rest, and right now there is a pretty significant gap between them a SA, and them an Dallas (the 3rd seed). I expect that trend to continue, so Gasol should be able to have the luxory of sitting out a game or two at the end of the season to refuel for the playoffs.

You seriously have no idea.

No, you have no idea, and will blindly defend him. I don't hate Kobe Bryant at all, as I'm the one that you, and others included would try and discredit for saying he was, or will be better then M.J.

Take off your glasses for once, and realize he didn't display one ounce of hustle on the defensive end of the floor today. He walked back on defense during the fourth quarter which was quite pathetic.

Jesus this topic seems like it comes up every single season. Some of you need to realize that its not just Pau Gasol that isn't getting it done on the court. Artest is playing like crap, Blake and Fisher aren't being efficient at the point, etc etc. The fault has been on the team, Kobe seems to be the only one who cares but sometimes that leads him to separate himself from his teammates (like today in the late 4th) and makes the matter worse.

When you have to carry your team for stretches in a game, it's going to take a lot out of you. For you to pick out a couple plays and say that "he didn't display an ounce of hustle on the defensive end" is just disrespectful. He was the only guy who cared about winning the game, and it showed particularly in the fourth quarter when he had to carry the Lakers.

Kobe did an good job defending both Pierce and Rondo, both were held in check while Kobe was on them. He guarded Rondo for a good part of the game and did an excellent job keeping him out of the paint and limiting his playmaking abilities. And when Kobe was forced to switch off of Rondo to Pierce, Rondo absolutely destroyed Shannon Brown and Steve Blake. Kobe shadowed Paul and contested all his shots as far as I can remember and even forced him into a couple turnovers. Luke Walton got obliterated by Pierce in the third quarter when Ron left with an injury, and even prior to that Ron was just getting torched.
