Trade Deadline names to watch

According to David Aldridge:

Two-plus weeks until the trade deadline, and the Carmelo Circus aside, along with those guys who everyone knows are on the block -- like the Nets' Troy Murphy and the Knicks' Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry -- here are the guys that, according to front office sources around the league, are eminently gettable before Feb. 24:

Golden State center Andris Biedrins, Memphis guard O.J. Mayo, Lakers forward Ron Artest, Portland centers Marcus Camby and Joel Przybilla, Philadelphia forward Andre Iguodala, Phoenix forward Josh Childress, Washington forward Rashard Lewis, Detroit guard Rip Hamilton, Cleveland forward Antawn Jamison, Minnesota guard Jonny Flynn, Charlotte forwards Stephen Jackson and Boris Diaw and Houston forward Jared Jeffries.

There was less consenus on whether three former All-Stars -- Pacers forward Danny Granger, Memphis forward Zach Randolph and Clippers center Chris Kaman -- were really available, despite their names being out there in Rumorville the past few weeks.

Thoughts on who out of the list would actually get traded?

From what I've heard the only Cav drawing interest now is Anthony Parker, by the Bulls.

Jamison still has a year left, and I think the Cavs will clean house in the offseason. But I don't know for sure...they may indeed clean house before the deadline.

Houston should try and work something out with Golden State for Biedrins or look to Portland for Camby

Biedrins isn't worth his contract, I'd rather just try to sign Marc Gasol in the offseason.

Damn I didn't know he's contract was that big. Yeah I agree maybe they should just wait to the offseason and go after Gasol or Perkins.

Andris Biedrins

you want to pay $36M to a player who's averaging 6/8/1 this year?

I also don't understand why you'd want Hamilton. he's owed way too much money and they already have a younger, cheaper Fields. Fields is already probably a better player than Rip and I'm sure he'll be better within the next few years.

i hope we can get andy V from cavs for cheap. there were pretty serious talks (quietly) about him before the injury and then they died. i hope presti goes after him again

you should wait until the offseason to go after V. it would hurt the team to trade for him now when he can't even play the rest of the year.
