Owner Real Deal Posted February 8, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted February 8, 2011 Found this funny, so I did some research. In his 15-season career...in 1,073 career games...Ray Allen has shot 17 or more FGA and just two or less 3PTA five times. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/199803130IND.htmlhttp://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/199803160SAS.htmlhttp://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/199803310GSW.htmlhttp://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/199904110MIA.htmlhttp://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/199912070MIL.html And...he hasn't done it since 12/7/1999. Tonight: 9-17 FG, 2-2 3PT. He's just two away from breaking the all-time three-point record, and his next game is against the Lakers on Thursday, on TNT. Coincidence? htownborn
Yeah, Ray breaks the record against the Lakers in Boston on TNT with Reggie Miller more than likley commentating and watching him break it. Yeah it would only be right for it to happen that way.

Dash
Have you seen how happy Reggie Miller gets when Ray gets closer and closer to breaking his record? He's been waiting for this for a while now, I think he began the countdown about a year or two ago.
Dr. Feelgood
That's awesome, Ray is gonna break it on national television.

I highly doubt that Reggie will be upset over it. He's actually been giving Ray alot of credit and I think he actually wants to commentate this game for that reason. I gaurentee that Reggie will give Ray a standing ovation as soon as he breaks his record.
YugoRocketsFan
I think he intentionally did it so he can break the record on national tv not vs the Lakers.
Hawks Fly High
I think he intentionally did it so he can break the record on national tv not vs the Lakers.Yeah I agree, but the Lakers was an added bonus. He probably wants to do it with Kobe's hand in his face.
Owner Real Deal Posted February 8, 2011 Author Owner Report Share Posted February 8, 2011 Yeah I agree, but the Lakers was an added bonus. He probably wants to do it with Kobe's hand in his face. It'll be Fisher's hand. Him and Fish go at it all the time, and it seems like they have this hate for each other anyway. Kobe will be guarding Rondo, which is something he's done since Rondo decided to become a standout PG that can light Fisher up.
Jenneral
I think he intentionally did it so he can break the record on national tv not vs the Lakers.Agreed. I think he'd actually rather do it at home than in LA too.
