Guest N/A
Look at their potential lineup if LeBron would have gone there... Dr. Feelgood
I voted no because I don't want LeBron in the West. Though that Clipps lineup is pretty sick.

Flash
Blake plays no D and is not a very good FT shooter. Not to mention, Bosh's overall offensive game is probably better than Blake's ATM. They're close but I'd give the slight edge to Bosh because he's proven he's a star big man for the past 8 years.

Poe
Hmmm... a bad organization known to make poor choices, or a Pat Riley led organization?a young, inexperienced team, or a team filled with veterans with its core from the same draft class?a team with a top 5 PF and Dwyane Wade or a team with a top 5 PF and nobody as good?a non-playoff, lottery team or a team that made the playoffs two straight years? Such a tough choice! Okay, how about I put it this way. Take LeBron off the Heat at it's current state. Led by Wade and Bosh, plus Miller, Chalmers, Haslem, Big Z, Dampier, Jones, and House, this is still at least a .500 record playoff team. Not to mention a good 15M not spent on free agents. Take LeBron off the Clippers and.... oh wait.............

Take LeBron off the Clippers and.... oh wait.............Since their pathetic start (1-13, or something like that), the Clippers are a .500 team (knock off the injury to Gordon...but with it, they are just 19-21). And, it's the same Clippers team that has beaten the most elite teams in the NBA. The Heat are currently 1-6 against the top five. ----- In addition to all of that, LeBron would be Batman. I doubt many would consider Blake Griffin on the same level, especially since there are some that won't even say he's better than Bosh. LeBron, on the Clippers, continues his legacy. Now, people think he's ditching a city because he couldn't get it done, and is asking for a former champ's help.

I think there are plenty of other teams he could have went to that would have been better IMO for him, but if he wanted to win now, which he does, the Heat are the choice. Multi-Billionaire
I disagree with Wade being MUCH better than Gordon... Gordon averages 24.1 ppg (Wade: 25.0 ppg) and plays better defense than Wade, and can play lock-down D. Furthermore, Gordon's more accurate outside shooting (35.9 3PT%) would have complemented LeBron better and spread the floor better than Wade (31.6 3PT%) Obviously, overall Wade is still better... but I disagree with "MUCH". Check my Stats
He would have been better off going to Chicago probably. Though, it would have been fun to watch him steal LA from Kobe.
JYD
No...heat are a really good team. I believe their role players fit in nicely...But They've struggled w/ some injuries and against the top competition but that'll change once April, May and June come. I think there are plenty of other teams he could have went to that would have been better IMO for him, but if he wanted to win now, which he does, the Heat are the choice. That's not going to change my mind. If he was Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, or some old vet that's chasing a ring, I'd understand. Malone, Payton...ring-chasing. For what LeBron wants (to ring-chase, like a 15-year veteran), the Heat weren't his best choice right now. He could've taken the MLE and came to the Lakers and played in the triangle, or went to Boston. If he wanted better teammates, but wanted to preserve his legacy and be the sole leader of a championship team (Griffin is an all-star, not a superstar), he would've went to the Clippers, or to New Jersey, or New York. Technically, his best bet was to team up with Durant or Griffin. Both are very young. Wade is 29 years old and is on the same road as Allen Iverson, in regards to being injured (and playing with injuries) all season long. LeBron, Griffin and Gordon...or LeBron, Durant and Westbrook...those are two scary trios right now. They would be in the WCF, at least. There's no guarantee that they would get past the Lakers, but there's also no guarantee that LeBron's Heat are going to get past the Celtics (0-3 against them this season). Multi-Billionaire
Then again, noone knew Griffin would be this good before the season. Had LeBron known about Griffin being this good (among other things like Gordon breaking out, Davis playing ball again, Jordan emerging as a defensive center, Bledsoe being a reliable backup) Clippers would probably have been one of his faves. SRV
Lebron with the Clippers won't sniff a title for years, because any team in the West can have their way with the Clippers...hell, the Cavs beat them. In the East, his only competition is Boston and the Chicago. We take care of the Magic easily now days, and every other team in the East is no match for the trio alone...just imagine what happens when Haslem comes back, this trio finally learns how to close a game out, and all the playoff experience come into play compared to the Clippers. Also, Pat Riley works miracles, so if something isn't going great, he works his magic and improves the team again. So really you are asking....go to the Clippers and be stuck with the same crap you had in Cleveland, plus Blake Griffin, or go to the Heat and compete....and your main rival (Boston) is becoming a retirement home in 2 years while we have Wade, Bosh, and Lebron in their primes. This coming from a Heat fan though, I won't admit I would rather see him on another team....just like you guys that think he is a ring chaser would rather have him somewhere else just because Wade isn't there. Cause Wade is the 3rd best player where as Durant and Griffin are always shuffling around in peoples best players list. The Truth
I mean [expletive], he could have gone to Chicago with Amare. Rose scrubJamesAmare Noah then they could have turned around and dealt Deng and Gibson for a good SG, giving them four or five all-stars in the same lineup. but you know, you can't look into the future and predict these things. no one knew Griffin was going to be this good after not playing last year, no one knew Amare would be so successful without Nash, no one knew Rose would become the league's best pg so quick. at the time, I'm sure Miami was the best choice for him. you're talking about south beach with two big time stars. they're still a title contender as it is, but they might have to improve at the one and five spots before they actually get a ring. ultimately, it is what it is - that's why I'm not overly fond of these 'what if' threads. Owner Real Deal Posted February 16, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted February 16, 2011 Lebron with the Clippers won't sniff a title for years, because any team in the West can have their way with the Clippers...hell, the Cavs beat them.Sure, but the Clippers have beaten some of the best teams in the NBA as well (Lakers, Spurs, Heat, Thunder, Bulls)...doesn't really matter. If LeBron could take the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals with "crap" for teammates (as you put it), what makes you think he wouldn't go to the Finals and win a ring THIS SEASON with Griffin and Gordon? That trio alone could be amazing. Today, a trio of Bron, Griffin and Gordon wouldn't be better than the Heat trio in terms of overall talent, but they would probably compliment each other better from the start, AND it's a fact that they would last longer, pending one of them leaving or being traded, because it's a younger core. Plus, LeBron gets to be "the man" in Los Angeles, right after Kobe exits his prime.

He can turn around a whole franchise just like he could have done to the Cavs (except hed have a better team in LA obviously).
