People are so blinded by religion, and we wonder why there are terrorists in the world.

People are blinded by the devil, continue to watch your tv and listen to your music as the devil continues to distort your mind and spirit and will ruin our moment of spiritual salvation come 2012 and instead indoctrinate us with nwo.

Well he does talk about the Bible and he is a reverend so i think it just might have to do with religion.

The bible doesn't say the Earth is flat, they just assume it is because of this

Jeremiah 16:19:

O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

Revelation 7:1:

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

Isaiah 40:22:

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

If you look at some of the last pages, even Christians say lolwut.

I honestly can't tell if they're trolling hard or being dead serious. The Bible teaches about a spherical earth, not a flat one...I don't even know how those people can claim otherwise.

I'm looking around on their forum, and it's like a collection of nutjobs who twist what the Bible says to fit their own beliefs. It's like a giant cult or something.

Serious question not trying to troll - if the Bible says the earth is spherical, why was it a popular belief in like exploration era that the earth was flat? IE I remember learning about how people were afraid to travel across the Atlantic because they thought they'd fall off the earth.

This article explains it fairly well, at least in the context of why people think the early church promoted a flat earth theory.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myth_of_the_Flat_Earth

"Historian Jeffrey Burton Russell says the flat earth error flourished most between 1870 and 1920, and had to do with the ideological setting created by struggles over evolution.[7] Russell claims "with extraordinary [sic] few exceptions no educated person in the history of Western Civilization from the third century B.C. onward believed that the earth was flat," and credits histories by John William Draper, Andrew Dickson White, and Washington Irving for popularizing the flat-earth myth.[8] See Russell's book, Inventing the Flat Earth."
