Guest N/A
Discuss. Personally, I believe he is a good fit for the Knicks because he is experienced in the playoffs and he is clutch. He is not as good of a defender as Felton, but Billups has a better offensive game than Felton will ever have. Billups has gotten 33% of his points at the foul line this year, he attacks the basket and knows how to draw fouls. Also, Billups is a good 3-point shooter which is key in the Knicks system. I know Knicks fans will miss Felton, but Billups as the new PG really isn't a drop off at all. Edited February 23, 2011 by N/A

I think Billups has lost a step, both are good defenders, but Felton is better at this point their careers. Clutch
billups will be as effective as he has always been
JYD
Billups isn't as good of a defender as Felton? Are you serious? Not anymore..true. Five years ago he was probably better though. Billups will defend OK in the big games though. I think Billups will be OK. I don't think he'll be as good as Felton but he'll be formidable. I think the key is actually Douglas off the bench. Paul
I would take Felton in the regular season, but Billups in the postseason. Felton isn't as experienced as Billups is when it gets down to crunch time that is where Billups will play a huge role. I still think that the Knicks need to bring in a Center though, and it that means getting rid of Aza/Douglas/Brewer then that is what has to be done. Newman
The only drop is that Billups is much older than Felton. Otherwise, Billups will post similar numbers to Felton in the Knicks.

If Chris Duhon can do decent in that offense, anyone can http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

Only problem is that Billups won't be able to play 40 minutes per game like Felton did so Toney D will pick some more minutes up at PG. Guru
I'm not sure to be honest. D'Antoni's fast paced system may not benefit Billups but you never know... he may alter his system a bit

Guest N/A
True, good point Yeah, I can see the concern though. Seven seconds or less offense has never been kind to vets who aren't Steve Nash or Grant Hill http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif
Erick Blasco
Billups has run less than half the amount of screen/rolls that Felton ran, and has never been in a screen/roll oriented offense. Melo is also not a screen/roll player. The last time Stoudemire played in a system that wasn't 100,00,000% geared towards solely screen/rolling for him to generate points was when he played with Shaq, which he griped and griped about. I wonder if Billups is the right fit for the Knicks.

I know he's a good player over the years, very consistent, but I didn't watch too much of him recently. I haven't seen much of Melo either...so I'm pumped to see them both. Makaveli
Billups better play good in NY. I need him to rack up some stats for my fantasy team.
