Cavs trade for Baron Davis and 2011 Unprotected First Round Pick

This is a really good deal for both sides. Clippers were getting scarily close to .500 before Gordon went down, they could still finish with a late lotto pick. Even if they don't, they don't need another draft pick to use, especially with that Minnesota pick next year in a much better draft. Cleveland has an owner with deep pockets so they can take that contract, and are getting another lotto pick which they desperately need right now.

Really good deal.

Is Baron even going to play here? All I'm hearing about is his misery since finding out about the trade.

On the Trade Deadline show on NBA TV they talked about this for about 10 minutes and everybody said Davis won't seek a buyout and will definitely be suiting up for the Cavs.

One has to wonder if a buyout would be better, though. We saw how an unhappy Baron Davis played in LA, could you imagine how terrible he will be in Cleveland?

It's worth it for the Cavs, they got a lot of ping pong balls in the lottery now, imagine if they strike gold with Irving or Jones? I know the draft class is weak and there's a high possibility of both of those players staying in school, but you never know. I think it's worth it.

Apparently, Baron apologized to Coach Scott for his attitude in New Orleans, when the Clips came here last week. So maybe Scott and Davis can work something.

But Sessions will start...he's the best thing going right now for us...so I wonder what happens. Sessions at SG?
