Guest N/A
The Knicks are targeting free agent center Earl Barron and Jared Jeffries, who will probably be waived by March 1 whether he's stays in Houston or is traded on Thursday. The Knicks need to get rid of a player because they already have the limit of 15 on their roster. Marc Berman of the New York Post suggests the player "likely" to be released is Renaldo Balkman, who was just acquired from Denver and previously played for New York. Balkman is signed through 2012-13 and makes $1.67 million per season. The Knicks could try to buyout his contract which would lower their future payrolls. The Knicks could also open up a spot on the roster by waiving Anthony Carter or Kelenna Azubuike. Both of those players will be free agents after the season. JYD
No need for Jeffries, he blows, but give me Barron for rebounding purposes.

fish7718
You think Turiaf is a hole in offense? I guess you don't remember butter fingers Jeffries too much. I guess as long as I go get a snack every time he's shooting FT's I'd take him.

Flash
Hmm...that could be a problem. That's really the only hole the Knicks have moving forward. Getting a center that can play in their system and be a solid defender isn't easy to find IMO. Dwight definitely provides a tough matchup for them. JYD
Jeffries offensively > Turiaf, trust me Hell, I'd say Jeffries >> Turiaf overallNo Way. At least Turiaf can make some cuts to the hoop and dunk it and occasionally make a nice layup...I've never seen Jeffries do anything at all. Jeffries isn't even a good defender. People say he is but I've seen him play some wack defense before. He's an average defender, he's nothing more. The dude is incredibly gifted with a huge body and long arms and he's horrible NYK Idk why you like him.....................
