*Swish*
Are the Celtics better or worse after swapping Kendrick Perkins for Jeff Green? In my opinion, they get slightly better offensively. Jeff Green is a kind of player that could do almost anything on the court and even shoot the three ball as a SF/PF. I like him as an offensive player but he's not compared to Kendrick Perkins on the defensive end of the court so it's going to be hard in my opinion for the Celtics to stop Pau and Andrew if they face the Lakers in the finals again or if they face another team that has 2 huge towers. Guest N/A
Kristic was also acquired in this trade, he's a good defender and a much better shooter than Perkins. I was aginst this move when I heard about it, but now I'm in favor of it.
Check my Stats
Jeff Green is nothing special, he is solid at a bunch of things but also really inconsistent. Sure he has size and versatility, but when there is nothing he excels at what good is his he? Basically he is a glorified role player, while Perkins is one of the few defensive anchors in the entire NBA. The answer is pretty obvious about if they are better or not. I also don't understand why they do this when they are going to need to pay Green probably just as much as Perkins.
Lkr
Worse. They are a defensive team and lost a key defensive anchor.
Warren2ThaG
He wasn't gonna re-sign, so better for the future.

Cleveland's Finest
As long as they can get Powe, the deal keeps them just as physical as they were before if all the bigs are healthy for the playoffs. They have a shooting big man for the first time since PJ Brown, and we all know how well that worked out for them. Green will be sort of like Posey. The Regime
Worse. They are a defensive team and lost a key defensive anchor. Agreed. He was the toughest guy on the team, and that's really hard to replace. The Celts will miss his presence and dirty work come playoff time. AboveLegit
. The Celts will miss his presence and dirty work come playoff time. While I agree with this statement (and I'm still against trading Perkins away), the C's and Pierce will benefit from having him guard LeBron, Kobe, etc in the playoffs. That will be a huge plus for them, and it will allow Doc to go with the small line up of Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Green, and KG in the fourth quarter.

moeroadkill
So you're saying Green is a good defensive player? his not horrible he'll give you max effort, his strong, and he can gaurd the down on the block and outside. if the celts are tryingto get back to the 08 season then i guess it could work but the lakers have come a long way unless its just doc trying to figure out a reason why they traded away perk
