magicbalala245
Three years ago, Steve Nash became the only two-time NBA MVP in the history of the Suns. Considering his stature and physical limitations, it was one of the more-remarkable feats in league history. Everyone in Arizona loved him back then. Now, many fans seem to think he's overpaid, overrated and a bad investment for a team with zero chance to win a championship in the near future. Some even call him a liability. These are the same people who drove Mike D'Antoni to the brink of insanity. Read full article clicking on top of the quote. And I just want to if this is true cause we do have some Suns fan on here. So speak up Suns fan do you guys dislike Nash now?
The Goods
That isn't exactly true. Occasionally, Nash can get bitter, just like the rest of us: "No one gave us Pau Gasol for nothing," he said. , Nash was the "MVP" and he had Amare, Bell, Diaw, Marion, Barbosa and he couldn't win a title. He was the most undeserving MVP ever. Edited July 29, 2009 by The Goods
Flight
Who would start? They'd be smart to let him go and take Ramon away from the Bucks.
andreusito
I've got nothing at all against Nash but with the Shaq trade I understand we are in rebuilding mode so the whole move is confusing. I'm guessing the plan is to suck another season, then see what happens in 2010 FA, and based on that, rebuild or go for the win.
TheNextBestThing
That's ridiculous. Getting rid of Steve Nash would be the most brain dead thing we could do. Aside from winning basketball games (go figure), Nash is a major source of team revenue. His specific jerseys and merchandise, as well as the people who buy tickets in large part to see him play. Further, if they're not contenders, the Suns still have a legitimate chance to be a playoff team. I don't suppose it's occurred to anybody that you can't conscript a free agent? You see, if a top player in the 2010 FA pool doesn't want to come here...he won't. Now, how much would Steve Nash affect a free agent's decision to join the purple and orange? The prospect of playing with someone known for his unselfish play and propensity to make his teammates better would be very attractive. The majority of our fans want to ignore this. Lose Shaq, lose Nash, just blow up the team. With no material to trade, and no way to entice free agents, our only hope then is to get lucky in the draft. Suns fans, Steve Kerr would be proud of your masterful tactics.
