Owner Real Deal Posted February 28, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted February 28, 2011 The Los Angeles Clippers have bought out Rasual Butler, and he plans to sign with the Chicago Bulls, a league source told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher. Butler must clear waivers before he can sign with the Bulls. Butler had the best scoring season of his career in 2009-10, averaging 11.9 points and 2.9 rebounds. This season he's averaged 5.0 points and 1.9 rebounds. Butler is making $2.4 million in the last year of his contract.http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/news/story?id=6165494
The Regime
I don't see how he'll fit into the Bulls rotation. His only strength is shooting, and he's shooting a dismal 33% on the season.
?QuestionMark?
He'd be a nice get for Chicago. Solid shooter, solid defender, averaged over 11ppg the past two seasons. He just got lost in LAC's rotation with the signings of Foye, Gomes, and drafting Aminu. He's definately better than Bogans, so he should get solid minutes. Guest N/A
He's a great shooter, provides nothing else. CP3 was mad when New Orleans let him go so he must be a good player otherwise he wouldn't have gotten mad. It's great that Chicago is getting him for free, though. Newman
I didn't know he can defend, but he can definitely shoot the ball. Been in a slump this season though, so hopefully when he get open looks his form will be back.
