Guest N/A
Do you look at last second shots? 4th quarter points? Number of points in the last two minutes? How do you measure it?

ChosenOne
# of points + Field goal % in last 2 minutes. So hitting game winners doesn't matter? just wondering.

YugoRocketsFan
So hitting game winners doesn't matter? just wondering. Game winners hardly ever occur, players taking over a game in closing stages occurs quite a lot.

Guru
I don't measure "clutch". It's like trying to measure toughness, it can't be done.

Kobe24
Hitting the big shot. That could mean the game winner, tying the game up when down 2 or 3, drawing a foul and icing both freethrows, hitting the go ahead shot in the final minutes/seconds of the game, or even taking over the final minutes with several shots as well as playing tenacious D.  There really is no right answer.. fish7718
Do you look at last second shots? 4th quarter points? Number of points in the last two minutes? How do you measure it?why do you feel the need to put numbers behind everything? Does the player elevate his performance at the end of games? Then he is clutch. JohnWayne
to me you cant even be considered clutch in the NBA before winning a title. I know that may not make a lot of sense, but to me the most clutch players all have rings. So for me the first measuring stick is championships. The second would be big shots in big games, either being the dagger to basically end the game, the go ahead bucket with 5 ticks on the clock left, or the game winner. Points in the last 2minutes, isnt really a factor I would consider, a guy could score 12 points in 2mins but that doesnt necessairly make him a clutch player. Idk that's just my out look on the clutch factor
