Flash
Pretty sure he's going to be bought out soon so would you prefer him or Bibby who will also try and get a buyout. I know Bibby's shooting is a nice thing to add but I think Ford is he better option at this point and would make us a much better team. *Swish*
I think it would be better for the Heat to acquire a defensive point guard.. Tj doesn't know how to play defense
Flash
I think it would be better for the Heat to acquire a defensive point guard.. Tj doesn't know how to play defense Neither does Bibby, but both of those guys, especially Ford are much better than our current options at PG. If we can sign one of those guys and have Chalmers come off the bench I feel a lot better about our offense late in games. Its unbelievable how much better our offense works with a real PG out there on the floor late in the game.
Check my Stats
A point guard who can't shoot and needs the ball in his hands to be effective... why don't you tell me. What the hell do you mean by 'real point guard'? Edited February 28, 2011 by Check my Stats
Dr. Feelgood
I've heard rumors that Portland is looking at Ford.
Built Ford Tough
Bibby would be the better fit. Ford is useless as a spot up shooter and that is exactly what he would be on the Heat. What exactly is the point in bringing him to the Heat when he is at his best when he is able to handle the rock and break down the defense, things that he will rarely be given the opportunity to do? Ford's entire game is off of the dribble. He is basically useless if he isn't controlling the rock. Sure, he is a better point guard in the sense of running a team and creating plays than Bibby, but Bibby is clearly the better fit for the Heat than Ford is. I don't even think it is debatable between the two of them.
Owner Real Deal Posted February 28, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted February 28, 2011 Take the better spot-up shooter (Bibby), because the Heat aren't going to be putting the ball into a true PGs hands to begin with, especially at the end of games. LeBron and Wade aren't going to play off the ball much...the only time they do that is when they are running the break, and most of the time, one of them has the ball and the other is sniffing for a lob. The Heat are a top three team in the East. There's no reason to bring in a true point guard, trying to put the ball in his hands, and change it all up. Today, LeBron runs the show, and the rest are sidekicks or spectators.
