Owner Real Deal Posted March 5, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted March 5, 2011 He's not going to dominate, but I wonder if this one bites Miami in the ass sometime in the playoffs. Arroyo can hit open shots. He hasn't been a stellar three-point shooter, but last season with the Heat, he dropped a lot of shots into the hoop at an efficient rate. Put Bibby on him, and I'm not so sure what happens. Maybe this is Arroyo giving Miami the middle finger.

AboveLegit
Also, Arroyo could share secrets to the Celtics that they may not know about the Heat. They've beaten the Heat 3 times, I think they know enough on how to beat them. kingfish
They've beaten the Heat 3 times, I think they know enough on how to beat them. Not those kind of secrets. He meant like Lebron giving Wade gay massages and Bosh eating dinosaur food. :glasses:

The Truth
not sure why Boston made this signing. they already have Rondo, West, and Wafer. is Wafer going to be cut to make room for Arroyo?

The Truth
West is too injury prone right now, and Wafer doesn't play PG. They need some immediate help at PG.yeah, but I still don't see how Arroyo makes the cut. even if they send Chris Johnson and Avery Bradley back to the D-League, they still have a full 12 man squad even without Carlos. RondoAllenPierceGarnettShaqDavisKristicGreenMurphy PavlovicWaferWest that's what makes me think Wafer has to bounce.

The Truth
they don't technically have to cut anyone, but one of those guys won't be able to play.

The Truth
so Wafer's gonna play in the D-League or what?
AboveLegit
so Wafer's gonna play in the D-League or what? The reason they brought in Arroyo now is because Delonte is hurt again, and they need someone to fill in immediately. Avery has been terrible for them off the bench. My guess is before the playoffs either Arroyo or Pavlovic gets cut.
The Truth
yeah, it's a good signing. Rondo could use some rest. he's been logging big minutes lately.
*Swish*
Defense = Celtics Arroyo= One of the worst defender in the league
The Truth
just because Boston's the best defensive team in the league, doesn't mean every player on the roster has to be a great defender. Rondo's logging close to 40 mpg this year. with West and Wafer currently suffering injuries, the Celtics desperately needed a true pg who could give rest to Rondo as the C's head toward the playoffs. this has more to do with keeping Rondo healthy and rested than it does anything else. JYD
Arroyo is pretty horrible, but he could be a solid role player for Boston. He played too many minutes in Miami. I think he played like 25? Did he start as well down there? He's really a pretty poor 3 pt shooter..his percentage was probably pretty good consider he was wide open in Miami. Check my Stats
Ugh, why is this scrub still in the NBA, let alone on the Boston Celtics.

Ugh, why is this scrub still in the NBA, let alone on the Boston Celtics.this has more to do with keeping Rondo healthy and rested than it does anything else.they're just giving Rondo a breather. as soon as West gets back, Arroyo will fade into the background. Dash
Ugh, why is this scrub still in the NBA, let alone on the Boston Celtics. Serviceable, can hit the occasional open jumper, experience (can't teach that in the D-league). He's a marginal player at best but Boston doesn't have any better options right now. The Truth
There are better options in the d-league.such as? Avery Bradley wasn't getting it done, so they had to look elsewhere. when West gets back, Arroyo won't even be in the rotation anymore.
