He's right. There's no way he can get int a rhythm when his usage is so inconsistent. He does need to stop settling for jumpers and be more aggressive.

Maybe if he played better he would get the ball. He settles for way too many jumpshots and misses many shots in the paint. And if he isn't getting the ball, get the [expletive] over it and start doing other little things like rebound the ball.

where ever he gets the ball, whether its deep in the paint, or outside, he does one thing

 

either take the jumper, or pump fake and run straight to the hoop (a lot of times commiting the offensive foul because he doesnt even look where he is running to) - he has zero back to the basket moves for him to have the ball in the post any more than he does, wade and bron on the other hand need a lot more touches there

Bosh needs to learn how to shoot....all I heard was how smooth his jumper was. Sure its smooth, but it doesn't go in unless he is feeling it. Better yet, he has post moves and refuses to use them. His moves consist of a pump fake followed by a desperate attempt to get a layup, which usually results in him getting pushed out of the way by someone stronger than him.

 

I don't care about his offense that much. He just doesn't rebound, block, or show any presence in the paint on either end. Not to put all the blame on him, but he is better than the trash he has been showing off lately.

Does he even have a post game, because I certainly havent seen anything in the many Miami games that I've watched this season. He's strictly a jumpshooter, the few times he tries to take someone of the dribble he fails miserably.

Miami needs to run more on offense. if Wade and LeBron get up the floor quick, Bosh just needs to outrun his defender and he can get some easy looks on his way to the basket. that would be a good way of utilizing his quickness.

 

what they could do also is change the rotation at certain points in the game. move LeBron and Bosh up one position so they're playing the four and five, respectively. that would make the offense faster and it would allow LeBron to post up on certain possessions. they would also be able to play a true shooter like Jones or Miller at the three, which would open the floor.

 

obviously, you probably wouldn't want to do this in the upcoming game against the Lakers, but it could have worked tonight. I believe Portland's starting line was as follows:

Matthews

Batum

Aldridge

Camby

 

Camby's slow as hell. if Spo was smart, he would have started Bosh at the five and let him run circles around Marcus. if they would just incorporate some run and gun plays into their offense, that line could be lethal. you would have had Bosh outrunning Camby, LeBron could have schooled Aldridge from the perimeter, and Wade's better than any of those opposing perimeter players regardless.

I remember when Miami was really hot (they won all their games in December or something), it was because everyone was running as soon as LeBron or Bosh got the rebound. as soon as they pulled it down, dudes would dash down the floor. that's how they made all those long passes and alley-oops and whatever. I know people say that line wouldn't work all the time, and it wouldn't, but there's certain points in the game where it could come in handy. if they need a lot of points in a short amount of time (trying to come back in the fourth quarter, etc) it could work wonders.

Ever since this he's averaging 22.5 and 10 and taking 8.7 FT's a game, closer to his FT's attempted in Toronto from 05-10 (8.0-8.6) than what he is averaging on the year which 6.0. Meanwhile the Heat are 8-1 in that stretch.

It has nothing to do with being soft, it has to do with him not being used as a spot up shooter, and utilizing his offensive talent (we are talking about arguably the best offensive PF in the NBA last year after Dirk). Bosh also needs to learn how to roll off screens, rather than popping every time. So it is on both the coaches and Bosh himself.
