reno
I know there has been some courts throughout the world that declared hiv does not cause aids, and there has not been one document that proves hiv causes aids. There actually seems to be a big controversy on this subject online. Seems to be two groups, one group believes hiv causes aids and that you should be taking the proper medications, where the other group believes hiv does not cause aids and the main reason people die is due to azt and the hiv medications. They also believe big pharmaceutical companies are out to make the quick buck and dont want people to be cured, as they make a huge amount of money subscribing pills for life. Some say the reason the aids epidemic is big in africa is not due to hiv, but due to the sanitary/food/unhealthy living conditions people are exposed too. In the u.s, before the meds hit the market in the 80s, it was due to high risk homosexual sex/drug use/bad unsafe health habits. HIV testing also is not that accurate, and its seems many people are misdiagnosed. You can go to one clinic in California, be tested positive, and go to another clinic in canada, and become negative. There was no real FDA regulation on this testing either. Nether less, I'm not really sure i buy into this argument. Ive read people claiming different stories on both sides, how husband A took azt and is now dead, where wife who also has hiv+ never took the meds and is living 27+years. On other hand, people who don't take any meds end up really sick as their c4/t cells drop considerable and end up dying by opportunistic infections. Anyway, whats your thought on this? Does hiv cause aids? Or it a secrete way for the government to kill you?

Owner Real Deal Posted March 9, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted March 9, 2011 They also believe big pharmaceutical companies are out to make the quick buck and dont want people to be cured, as they make a huge amount of money subscribing pills for life. That doesn't make sense, because once you're diagnosed with AIDS, your life expectancy plummets. The idea would be to prevent you from getting AIDS, which means you take pills for life (like Magic Johnson).
Jammin
I think he means that there's a cure for AIDs but they don't want to release it cuz the people won't need the 'drugs for life'. Or I'm wrong. Either or.

Or I'm wrong. Either or.Nah you're correct. Prescribing pills for life brings in a far greater revenue than what a simple one time procedure/cure may bring. If this is what really is going on. I'm just surprised that after 20+ years, their is still not one official document that says hiv causes aids, despite the health complications people experience. Owner Real Deal Posted March 9, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted March 9, 2011 That's not what I'm saying. You stated that these companies are out to make big bucks by basically pushing AIDS. If they were in it for the money, the smarter thing would be to prevent AIDS, because living with the HIV virus means you take those meds for life, and you can live a long life with HIV. With AIDS, your immune system is garbage, and you can die just by catching a cold (which gets bumped up to pneumonia within days). You don't live long with AIDS. The idea would be to not cure HIV and to prevent AIDS. That would mean more money.

Well yeah, thats what I actually meant to say;p I can see this argument being true with other diseases/illnesses such as cancer/heart disease/diabetes, but dunno. "To prove his unorthodox belief that HIV is not the cause of AIDS, a Florida doctor Friday pricked his finger with a needle carrying blood that he said was infected with the virus. "This is not an act of bravery. This is an act of intelligence," said Dr. Robert Willner, who practiced medicine in North Miami Beach for 30 years until his license was revoked last March. "I'm not afraid of an innocent virus." Before a gathering of about 30 alternative-medicine practitioners and several journalists, Willner stuck a needle in the finger of Andres, 27, a Fort Lauderdale student who says he has tested positive for HIV. Then, wincing, the 65-year-old doctor stuck himself. Willner, who says he also injected himself with HIV-infected blood in Spain a year ago, claims to be one of many scientists who now reject the theory that HIV causes AIDS. " http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26vbwILsLsY just saying, i thought that was interesting, this was the third and final time he stuck himself with the needle, tho he ended up dying from a heart attack 6 months later..
