"[Dwyane] Wade fouled the s--- out of me," Bryant said with his feet dipped in a bucket of ice water after the game. Bryant was referring to the 3-pointer he attempted with 1:06 left and the Lakers down 90-88.

"It was clearly evident," Bryant said. "They missed it. ... He fouled the hell out of me, they just missed it."

Wade was credited with a block.

"I couldn't make that, he hit my whole arm," said Bryant, who had made his previous two 3-point attempts at the time, including a long 28-footer to tie the score at 88. "That's why I went so short. ... I should have been shooting three free throws."

Bryant said even Wade assumed he would hear a whistle after the play.

"He was surprised they didn't call a foul," Bryant said. "He came out and said, 'I fouled the s--- out of you!'"

Wade said after the game that he didn't foul Bryant.

Said Lakers coach Phil Jackson: "They didn't see it and they didn't call it. What can you say?"

That wasn't the shot, but that went uncalled as well.

I still don't know why he even attempted that shot though. Even if he got fouled, I think it was a poor decision. I think they could have gotten a better look, but he did hit his last two, so I don't know...

It was a bad shot, unless Wade was in his jersey. Bryant has done that quite a bit, and gotten the call (probably notorious for it, really). Re-watching it, Wade's arms were draped over Bryant's at that split second, and Kobe rose up for the shot and was hit pretty good, plus a slight bump.

I'll put it this way: it makes no sense for Kobe to miss a shot THAT FAR OFF unless he's blocked or fouled, and Wade didn't block that shot. I mean, I don't even think I could miss that badly, even with someone in my face.

Given the fact that it's a pro player, and Kobe Bryant, you'd have to foul the hell out of him.

It was about as bad as that obvious foul Wade committed prior to Kobe losing the ball out of bounds, near the end of the game.

I don't normally blame the refs, and I think the Lakers should never lose the rebounding game against the Heat (or any team in the league, for that matter), and Bryant getting ripped by Wade was HUGE for the Heat (and not a foul), but there were two fouls on Wade that were not called, an illegal screen on LeBron, and an undisputed goaltend by Ilgauskas...all of these things happening in the closing minute or two.

No foul.

Even after the 'foul' Kobe got 2 hands on the ball the foul hardly effected the play Kobe has no one to blame but himself for letting ball slip

It's not about getting the ball back. Kobe should have been at the line shooting 3 ft's.

Artest got the ball after this anyways

And Big Z grabbed the ball while it was on the cylinder. That's 2 more points that we were robbed of.

Wade was draped all over Kobe, a foul should have been called prior to Kobe losing the ball. Part of the reason why the ball slipped out of his hand was because Wade was reaching.

The fact of the matter is that Wade got away with a lot of contact in the last couple minutes of the game. People credit him for playing good defense, which he did for the most part, but he also took advantage of the refs who were really hesitant to blow the whistle down the stretch.

Too damn obvious, let that have been LeBron, all hell would have broken loose. This game was stolen from the Lakers point blank.

What? How was the game stolen. So if Kobe screws up, its obviously the other teams doing, he can't screw up on his own. He took like 3 crazy shots, did an acting job whenever the ball was tapped from him, and got absolutely shut down for a good portion of the game. They didn't get the game stolen, they blew it by letting our scrub bench do something productive.

Also, on that shot, Artest had the chance for a put back and missed it, with no one bothering his shot.....could have had two point right there, but he blew it.

Silly you, you should know better.

Kobe always gets fouled, never fouls people & only loses games either because of his refs, his broken fingers, Pau Gasoft, Bynum, Blake, etc. This game it was pretty obvious the lakers lost due to the refs and bynum, once again. If it wasn't for that the lakers would probably be 82-0 every season. Damn stern, why does he always want the heat/other nba teams to win against the lakers, its not fair.

3 crazy shots? The only shot that was even close to crazy was the deep three, and even that wasn't all that crazy because he had made a similar shot from that range not too long ago.

D Wade got away with contact all game long, especially in the last two minutes. I guess if bumping and reaching is considered good defense, then he played NBA first team defense. The only reason why you Miami fans are under the impression that he played good defense is because he got away with the contact, and even he acknowledged fouling Kobe. Had the refs blown the whistle on a couple of those plays, as they should have, he would have been criticized like crazy for not playing "smart defense."

And I love that you guys are completely disregarding the goaltend on Ron Artests "miss". The ball was on the brink of going in until Big Z snatched it off the front of the cylinder.

Just take the loss...I could easily blame the refs for all our close games losses....any call made for us would have essentially given us a win at the end of the day, but it didn't happen. You guys put yourselves in a close game situation by allowing us to out rebound you and all that. Sure, they missed a few calls, but you can't dwell on something that can't be changed. Your big men however, can change, they cost you the game. For your big men having the clear advantage over us, they did a shit job.

I could care less about the loss, chances are we wont even meet the Heat again this season. Right now our priorities are to win the number 2 seed in the West, not get caught up in regular season headlined matchups. ;)

You're right though, the game shouldn't have come down to calls at the end of the game. Had we done a better job defensive rebounding, and had Pau not played one of his worst games of the season imo, we would have won this game with ease considering how well we defended Lebron and Wade up until the last few minutes of the fourth quarter. Consider this a gift from the Lakers to help Miami's morale.

All I'm saying is fouls or not, Lakers still blew the game, don't blame the refs, blame Kobe and the Lakers. Funny thing is Kobe knows he blew which is why he was taking jumpshots in the gym all night. Do you really think he went to take jumpshots because the refs missed calls?
