AboveLegit
In the newest issue of ESPN the Mag , Perkins and Kevin Durant were both asked a couple of the same questions with both having mostly differing opinions. All of it was pretty interesting, but the question, “Lakers: Team to beat or old news?” brought out the best in Perk. “Yesterday’s news,” he said. “I don’t like Pau Gasol or Phil Jackson. Phil is arrogant. Pau is soft. Kobe tries to bring out his toughness, but he’s still soft.”http://eye-on-basketball.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22748484/27902398
Owner Real Deal Posted March 14, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted March 14, 2011 He doesn't call Kobe soft, he says that Kobe tries to bring out Gasol's toughness (title fixed). He went on to say something about how Gasol thinks he's tough because he's playing alongside Bryant.
TheHutch
Can't disagree with him. He is speaking the truth.
Cleveland's Finest
Only he could get away with saying that because of all the discussion surrounding the "What if Perkins played in Game 7" theories.
The Regime
He's soft, there is no denying it. But at the end of the day he's a two time champ and that's all that matters.
*Swish*
Pau Gasol has his ups and downs and a lot of people call him soft but he's sometimes aggressive. Especially when playoff times are around the corner. As for Phil Jackson, I think he only tells the truth straight up instead of being polite. He has nothing to loose.. I mean, he has lots of experience in the league.
Brand New
This is getting old. I think by now everybody knows that Gasol is soft.

Erick Blasco
Being soft doesn't just mean that one isn't macho, it also means one can't handle physicality and his play suffers when he's pushed around. That's not true. Except for the first few months of this season, Pau has handled physicality well the past two seasons and his game hasn't suffered. Maybe Kevin Garnett is soft for having Gasol dominate his ass on the boards during Game 7 last year and having him swat his drive in the 4th quarter.
