The Regime
Jimmer Fredette is projected as a lottery pick in the 2011 NBA draft. Having grown up in upstate New York, Fredette's ideal NBA landing spot would be New York City, according to his older brother T.J. "We want him to go to the Knicks," T.J. told the Inquirer. "That's our team." The Houston Rockets can swap first round picks with the Knicks in the 2011 draft so long as New York's 1st round pick is not the 1st overall selection. http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/colleges/20110315_Jimmer_Fredette_s_unlikely_path_to_becoming_a_star.html?viewAll=y I could see him fitting right in with the Knicks as a sixth man. *Swish*
I don't think Fredette will end up with the Knicks because he might be one of the top picks and teams with lottery bound will have him. Knicks are playoffs team this year
SRV
It would kind of suck for him. He is known only for his ability to score. He won't get much of a spotlight with Amare and Melo hogging up all the shots he should be taking.
The Regime
^Well he is a defensive liability (probably his only glaring weakness as a college player) at this point so I'm positive that he's not going to start for any team. He'll more than likely have to ride the bench and sure up his defense for a couple seasons before seeing a starting role anyway. With the Knicks he'll be an excellent sixth man, and since Mike doesn't preach defense he'll fit right in. I can see him putting up double digit figures with NY on a nightly basis. Buckets!
Knicks don't need more fire power, they need defensive power.
Warren2ThaG
Knicks don't need more fire power, they need defensive power. In the draft u dont have to acquire defense but ok.........
Newman
Bobcats desperately need Fredette. Jimmer would not get touches in NY which I believe would hinder his scoring ability quite a bit so I doubt they would draft him.
