Every time I go to the youtube website and click a video, the video does not start up and the play button doesn't show. I can watch videos linked in this website, but I can't go to youtube and watch a video. Any ideas?

I don't know if thats the problem. It worked fine yesterday, but today no video works. It also works on internet explorer. I am using chrome now and it doesn't work.

Didn't work. Is anyone else using chrome and having this problem?

I also discovered that it works on chrome when I open an incognito window...which makes no sense since its the same exact browser.

The video just doesn't start,...its just a black screen and the little bar under the video that lets you play or pause does not even appear. I have tried all types of videos but none of them work. It works on other browsers, it works when the videos are embedded on another website, and it even works on chrome when I open an incognito window. I just don't know why it won't work on normal chrome.

That's weird. If it wasn't opening in the incognito window, it would be much easier to figure out. It just gives me this feel that it's more about the cookies/cache settings, but I still don't get it.

I'll look into it, instead of throwing out these random ideas.

That really fixed it? That's pretty weird...just doesn't seem like it would be a problem if it wasn't one not too long ago.

Then again, if you had just updated Chrome, that would make sense.
