fish7718
Looks like we are going to get a good look at the Yankees 8-9 punch with Soriano and Mo

NomarFachix
Pete Moylan is one of my favorite non-Yankees in the MLB. Actually... I like a lot of the Braves. They're the team I root for most in the NL.

Teletopez
Obviously thrilled baseball is back, but yeah, this does not feel like Opening Day at all. It needs to be a Monday.I like the single game on Sunday Night baseball to start off the season, Yankees or not. It's strange getting used to the stadium atmosphere at the beginning of baseball season when your most recent memory of an official baseball game is October ball, where the crowd is buzzing. EastCoastNiner
Way to support your team on Opening Day. . Of course it's the Yankees..... http://boston.3432.voxcdn.com/files/2011/03/IMG00128-20110331-1611-480x360.jpg http://boston.3432.voxcdn.com/files/2011/03/IMG00127-20110331-15481-480x360.jpg http://boston.3432.voxcdn.com/files/2011/03/photoy-480x390.jpg
fish7718
Yes because the people who paid 100,000 and decided not to show up because of weather depict the Yankees fan base as a whole. ECN you fail just about every time you post these days -_-
Phightins
In fairness, the weather is absolutely miserable. I know hardcore fans like all of the baseball fans on OTR would deal with it, but you can't expect 50,000 people to stay in their seats through that, especially when a large percentage of them don't care enough about an April (March??) baseball game. EastCoastNiner
Honestly, what does this have to do with absolutely anything? Baseball and opening day........ You're just bitter about the Yankees not being as good as the Red Sox this year. Get over it. The AL East is going to the Red Sox this year, and they will win it easily, probably by at least eight games. They have a better line-up than the Yankees, better rotation, and better fielding. Get ready for the Yankees to be bowing down to their daddies for the next decade or more. Edited March 31, 2011 by EastCoastNiner

The Truth
Soriano is in one of the pictures, so they were all probably taken in the 8th or 9th inning. considering the weather conditions in New York currently, and the fact that the Yankees were up by multiple runs, probably explains the lacking attendance in those photos. might as well beat that NY crowd and hop the subway before it gets congested out there. When can you send me my $30 via paypal that you owe me for making an absolutely ludicrous bet from the NFL season? It's funny you say I go off topic when people have been calling you out for the same thing recently, and your idiotic and illogical posts. Stop crying, and deal with it. I'm not crying lol, I'm making you like a jackass, and you are a jackass. BTW good job at bringing up MORE unrelated things, lol you're amazing. Phightins
People like us, who know/love sports, forget that the percentage of people at games who actually know what they are watching is tiny. Can't hold everybody to our standards. If it is cold and rainy, the people who don't give a shit about the game (a depressingly large percentage) are not going to sit through it. Teletopez
Of course it's the Yankees.....Of course it's you posting something that was news in 2009. And of course it's you choosing to ignore the rest of the stadium and focus on the sections that don't often seat diehard fans.
