The story notes that Frazier and Vikings G.M. Rick Spielman are noncommittal about their starting quarterback, and that McNabb “makes the most sense.” And maybe he does. Picking at No. 12, the Vikings probably won’t get a shot at either of the top two quarterbacks in this year’s draft, Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert, and if they don’t draft a quarterback they’re probably going to want a veteran who can step right in and start in their offense, and McNabb fits that bill. This would be a good fit, if they can not get the QB they want in the draft.
