GamerGuy
Lakers backup point guard Steve Blake is out indefinitely after being diagnosed with the chicken pox on Tuesday morning. The team learned of Blake’s condition after the team’s shootaround in preparation for Tuesday’s game against San Antonio. He’ll very likely miss Wednesday’s game at Sacramento as well in advance of the playoffs, which start either Saturday or Sunday. Blake will be monitored throughout the week. http://blog.lakers.com/lakers/2011/04/12/blake-out-with-chicken-pox/

Owner Real Deal Posted April 12, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted April 12, 2011 Adult chicken pox is Shingles, and it hurts, and it's very contagious. I had it a couple of years ago. There's nothing wrong with him sitting out. Chicken pox, for kids, isn't near as bad...but when it's Shingles, it's hell.

The Regime
I guess he didn't get vaccinated as a youth. I didn't realize that chicken pox was so dangerous during adulthood until I read the posts in this topic and did some research or my own. Shannon Brown with the ball even more in his hands, lord have mercy.

reno
I never had the chicken pox, and I was not home schooled. My mom even would put me with kids who had the chicken pox, a lot of parents did this where I lived, so we would all get it. My body was just like pshhh IM too cool for you chicken pox.
