First one was trojan and I had to reformat my Windows Second one is "Rootsky" or I think it's what it's called, couldn't go to Windows. The guy who fixed my comp said both viruses were definitely from web-browsing. Now, I don't go to porn sites. But I do have small sites (one of them is atdhe.fm for NBA streaming) that I suspect were the source of these viruses. My question: I want to know if there's any program that can look into web-sites and determine if they contain viruses? Websites I visit are probably 20 sites, and that's it. I don't kill my time to look for new sites to go to. I want to identify which site is the source of these websites and ditch it forever... and can have peace of mind knowing the others are 100% virus free. I'm sure, 1-2 of these 20 sites I visit were the ones that my comp got virus from... Thanks in advance... Microsoft Essentials is pretty good, if you run constant Windows updates. If you don't want to bother with all that, McAfee SiteAdvisor can help with what you're looking for. And the viruses still got to my comp without being detected. It's confirmed according to the guy who fixed my comp (my brother's good friend, so he wouldn't lie) that one of the websites I regularly visit carries viruses. They're so lethal they don't get detected. I just need to identify which [expletive]ing website this is so I can delete it off my bookmarks. MainEv3nt Posted April 14, 2011 Report Share Posted April 14, 2011 avg notifies it to. i use firefox with abp and avg. when i google somethin they have certain logo beside it letting me know, green check is safe, yellow exclamation might have viruses and red well u get the picture. also if i go on a site that might have a virus avg blocks it. i go to atdhe.fm all time neva had a problem.
