ChosenOne
I was listening to ESPN Radio this morning on my way to work, and they were having an interesting discussion on who the player of the decade is. They had it narrowed down to two players, Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan. Both side were getting alot of support but I believe Tim Duncan was getting a bit more. Who does OTR think is the player of the decade? EDIT: This would be an awesome podcast question. Edited April 18, 2011 by ChosenOne

Force
I'll go with Kobe...been the best player in the NBA since prolly 04ish...and before that he was winning championships with Shaq.
ChosenOne
I'm taking Shaq. We are talking decade bro, 10 years. Shaq has had maybe 4 good years in the last decade.

Check my Stats
Kobe for sure, he has the rings, the stats, and all the necessary hardware, not to mention he hasn't spent the last 3 years on micromanaged minutes like Duncan has. The only player other than Duncan you could make a case for is LBJ, statistically he may have been the best, but his lack of rings, especially compared to the amount Kobe has, just holds him back so much.

3pointgod
I'd have to say Kobe as well. As much as I love Tim Duncan but from 2000-2010 he won 3 titles to Kobe's 5, and I feel like he had a better end of the decade than Tim Duncan. Newman
Tim Duncan has definitely combined consistency and team success in the past decade. I am giving him a slight edge over Kobe.
fish7718
We had this topic before on OTR, when the decade ended, I went with Duncan and I'm still going with Duncan...I can't speak bad about Kobe so I'll just leave it at that
