Atlanta tried to build on a five-point lead but turned the ball over and watched the lead trim to 3. Next possession, they ran down the shot clock and tried to make it a two-possession game, and a shot clock violation ensued. Orlando ball, trailing 84-81.

Stan deserves to be fired, he's terrible late in games.

Was he serious on that last play? Why does he constantly go to Hedo in the clutch? Much less an iso play... You gotta be kidding me. You have all these shooters, yet you refuse to use any off ball screens or curls to free them up? You have the most dominant big man in the game, yet you don't go to him?

I feel bad for Dwight, he's been playing his ass off this series, but his so called supporting cast and coach have been terrible.

The Magic are a mess right now.

They will continue to be in a mess too.

I HIGHLY doubt Dwight stays, the trade rumors will start to surface (if it hasn't already), and pretty soon the situation will end up like Melo's. After that, I'm sure Otis Smith will enjoy paying Redick, Arenas, and Turkoglu for the next 3 years.

I understood swapping VC for Arenas for more clutch gene, but Rashard Lewis was one of their advantages over teams like Atlanta. He was athletic and could hit the three, so he could counter a Joe Johnson or a Josh Smith.

I still don't get why they tore the team that made the finals apart. Other than adding Brandon Bass, every other move they've made since that finals appearance hasn't been beneficial. Losing Courney Lee, Rafer Alston, Gortat etc..

Besides, the trade was VC and Gortat for Hedo and J-Rich, while Lewis was traded for Arenas. I understand where Otis Smith was going, trying to surround Dwight with shooters and reunite him with Hedo. Unfortunately for Smith, those shooters are so inconsistent that they just haven't worked out.

2-for-23

The Magic fell into a deep 3-1 hole against the Hawks mostly because they couldn't get anything to fall from deep. They tried 23 three-pointers. They made 2 of them. That's 8.7%. You can be kind and round it up to 9%. But The Rundown's basketball-loving uncle Elias says that's still a new NBA record for the worst field goal percentage from behind the arc for any playoff game ever (minimum: 20 attempts). You could almost shoot better by accident
