Smitty
The 76ers are believed to be among two or three teams negotiating with free agent forward Hakim Warrick, according to a source. Philadelphia is offering Warrick a one-year deal, as they have been with all free agent targets this summer. Warrick became an unrestricted free agent last week after the Grizzlies rescinded their qualifying offer to the 19th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft. In addition to the 76ers, the Bucks and Cavaliers are rumored to have interest in signing Warrick. link
Owner Real Deal Posted July 31, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted July 31, 2009 I don't see why Hakim would accept a one-year deal to a team that isn't going to contend for a championship and will just have him playing under Brand, who could get big minutes if fully healthy. Smitty
Yeah, he seems more likely to accept the Cavs offer. I think we would just add him for depth really. He isn't a GLARING need, just a depth player that would be nice to have. Plus it would keep EJ from playing Thad at the 4.
Owner Real Deal Posted July 31, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted July 31, 2009 Yeah. You have Speights and Smith though, right? I'm sure Philly can find at least one more guy to sign and stick up front.
Smitty
Smith isn't really going to be 100% for a while. But yeah, it def wouldn't hurt.

I'm just surprised that Philly didn't pull away with a sign-and-trade with Miller. EDIT: Figured I'd change the quotebox colors while I'm in here. Multi-Billionaire
I don't get why Denver hasn't made any effort to call him... he's Melo's boy and he would have a big role here since KMart and Nene are so injury prone.
Smitty
Well so much for that. He signed with the Bucks.
