Pakistan has some explaining to do. They better have not been hiding this [expletive]er for a while, or else they're getting bombed.

No shit he's going to say that during his speech. I don't trust that government at all, and there's a DAMN GOOD chance that they have known where he was for a while, and weren't giving him up. If that turns out to be the case, kiss that country goodbye!

idk about anyone else but posts like these make my believe you think the US can do what it wants without consequences.

and im Indian btw.

They really had to double tap him rather than tazing or rubber bullets when they knew he was in there? Tons of people left their country to fight this war on terrorism; many not returning and Osama gets away with a quick, painless death that he said he was going to get in the end.

Good news though.

John Brennan (assistant to the President) is having a live press conference on CNN. He has said that they are not going to speculate whether Bin Laden had help from Pakistani officials.

So they're not denying it either.

The U.S. will be the first country India cries to and calls for help if Pakistan decides to initiate a conflict with them, so I find it amusing you talk about the greatest country in the world this way.

Pretty sure India already [expletive]ed Pakistan up MULTIPLE times. Please open a history book when you get a chance

Finally... I heard about that when I woke up this morning (the radio weaks me up every day) and I just couldn't believe it. I thought I was still dreaming at first...

I have been waiting for this moment for ten years. For ten long years.. I was starting to believe that it would never happen. And I'm glad it did. Sure, as the father of one of the many people who died during the attacks said, it will not bring back his son, it will not bring all those people back. Just like it will not bring back the magnificent Twin Towers. But, as Obama said, justice has been done. At last.

I'm very happy. I'm happy for America, the greatest country in the world. And I'm even happier for New York City, the greatest city ever. And I'm especially happy for all the New Yorkers, who have showed us how brave they were during those difficult times. They showed that, even if you can hurt New York in its heart, you will never be able to destroy it. New York is a fantastic city. And it will be even more when the new Wolrd Trade Center will be built. A better one, a HIGHER one. Just to show that New York is even better than it was before the attacks, more magnificent forever.

I wish I was in New York today. Even more than usual. To celebrate this special day with all the New Yorkers.

Long live America. And long live New York City.

STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER !!!

Just like the U.S. has [expletive]ed up Afghanistan and Iraq, yet one of those countries commiited the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history, but I wouldn't expect you to understand that. .

Are you really that [expletive]ing retarded? Just because India has held its own, does not mean that Pakistan can't harm India.. The U.S. is a vastly superior country compared to Middle Eastern countries, yet those countries have harmed the U.S. You really are clueless.

And, India has had very few "decisive" victories with their conflicts with Pakistan, and Pakistan has been the victor multiple times in conflicts.

You never cease to amaze me.

So basically this is what I get out of all this Pakistan bullshit. They've been taking our money for years now most likely and have been hiding him from us for a decent amount of time. They have some serious explaining to do, but we don't need to bother with that right now. We're fighting an illegal war as it is.

It absolutely has basis in the US constitution. The US Congress, not the UN should decide whether we go to war.

It doesn't have basis, because it is an unconstitutional law. Besides the US hasn't even declared war since World War II, showing how useless it is. The Afghanistan War and Iraq war were both authorized by Congress. As for UN conflicts, the President has powers as commander in chief. Obviously it isn't known what that means, but Congress fears that the SC would declare the WPA unconstitutional, so they don't bother. An empty threat is better than nothing.

If we had a competent President, we probably could've gotten Bin Laden years ago. It was quite obvious that it wasn't one of Bush's top priorities.

I remember one of the biggest things for me in supporting Obama in 2008 was because during his campaign he said he'd begin to withdraw troops from Iraq and continue the search/fight in Afghanistan for Osama Bin Laden. I knew Obama had been against the war in Iraq since the start, as had I, but I really liked his strategy. I thought the previous administration got distracted with bullshit/oil by going into Iraq, and instead we lost focus on what was important (killing Osama)...

Just thought this was an interesting photo. Taken during the mission of attacking Bin Laden:

I think Osama was a top priority for Bush. Finding one man in such a large world is a difficult task. I highly doubt Bush made any decisions at Tora Bora as well.
