fish7718
Not sure what to make of this, but SI's Jon Heyman tweeted that Padres pitcher Jake Peavy was dealt to the White Sox again. Heyman is not sure if Peavy OK'd it. He says the Padres get minor leaguers. Peavy is currently recovered from a torn ankle tendon.Interesting... fish7718
Did not see this one coming.Nor did I, the Peavy rumors ended in like mid may when he got injured. This came out of nowhere.
Cobb
Isn't Peavy still on the DL?

Cobb
How is this deal going to go down if he is on the DL? Will he just come off, get traded and then get put back on?

Cobb
Then how is the deal going to work. I swear I read somewhere that if your on the DL you can't be traded.
fish7718
It's official Peavy gaves his approval. The White Sox will pay all of Peavys remaining current salary.
bigdog17k
I'm a bit confused about this. But it's Peavy... so I guess I'm a bit happy.
Flash
Great deal for the Sox if its true. A Peavy/Buerhle(sp?) rotation would be awesome.

He still gotta wait on the DL, even if he's ready, I heard he's expected back sometime late August or something...
Teletopez
Kenny Williams said he hopes Peavy can quickly get going in September and help the team get to the postseason, which may not be so easy after coming off from a long-term injury.
