With the remaining teams, whoever wins it all, will they go down as the worst nba champions?

planethockey1: so it doesnt matter

planethockey1: its the truth

planethockey1: will be the worst NBA Champs ever this year no matter what team

I'd enjoy a Chicago/OKC series, having two super quick PG's against each other, and Deng having to defend Durant, Noah and Ibaka blocking shots.

Same. That's what I'm hoping for.

So many young stars, it'd make things interesting for sure...

It will actually be my favorite finals matchup in a long time. It will be a change of pace. The teams we are used to seeing there from the last 5-6 seasons or so will not be there. So I find it refreshing. If the Heat do not make it, it'd be perfect.

I'm rooting for Dallas-Miami for a couple reasons. I want J-Kidd to get a ring, and I think there's room for a lot of heat (no pun intended) between the two teams. Also would be cool to see a re-match of the 2006 Finals, even with different members on each squad.

In terms of excitement, OKC-Chicago could also be very entertaining.

That's understandable, but you can't say you weren't excited for last year's LA/Boston series, especially the Game 7. I can see why people were tired of seeing the Lakers in there, but that series was awesome.

I don't mind the Heat being in the Finals, as long as I can have the guarantee that they will lose. ^_^

No way, you possibly have one of the top rising stars in the league coming out of the west, or two 10+ year veterans that have a chance to finally get their ring and solidify themselves as one of the greatest players at their respective positions.

From the East, again, you have one of the top rising stars in Derrick Rose, and two legends in the making (Wade and Bron).

This has a chance to be a memorable finals if you ask me.

Agreed. A Bulls/Thunder Finals, for example, could be the series that solidifies Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose as two of the top superstars in the league (as if the MVP and scoring titles weren't enough), and bring about an entirely new era.

Spurs vs Cavs was statistically one of the worst finals, if not the worst. Not to mention it was a sweep.

I don't see how this finals can be any worse, I really don't have any interest in the rest of the playoffs but there is an extreme amount of star power left.

Two of the best 5 players in the world (maybe the two best depending how you feel about Kobe/Dwight) cannot possibly be a part of the worst finals ever. Rose or Durant carving their own legacy in just their THIRD/FOURTH NBA seasons, Dirk finally getting over the hump, no matter how you slice it, the finals will be good. The teams are good, and so are the stories.

Personally, I don't even watch basketball if the Heat get eliminated from the playoffs..the only year I watched the playoffs all the way through was 05-06 when we won it, and the year that we sucked because I was able to choose another team to root for. its kind of annoying when you watch a team other than the team you root for get to the finals. I pretty much just catch up on the ESPN highlights to see who is winning

Also, no matter who makes it, it won't suck. There will finally be a new face in there other than Jordan, Kobe, Duncan or Shaq. The Bulls-Heat game 1 got the highest viewed game in cable history, and thats just the ECF. Most of it is people wanting us to lose, but imagine how many viewers it will draw when they want us to lose in the NBA finals. You guys would have a field day if it happened. So in turn, it is going to attract a lot of viewers just waiting for that magic moment. Also, can't go wrong with Rose, Durant, Dirk, Wade, Bosh, Lebron as guys that could be in there. Bulls fans are spread out all over, mostly due to Jordan. Their lack of playoff success since he retired would draw a huge crowd as well.

I want to see Thunder-Heat....but then again, an 06 finals rematch would be exciting for many reasons.
