Pistons Bobcats Cavs just to name a few

I have My Cavs off season posted in their team forum here is my Piston off season "Blow Up"

Top 3 Needs: PG SF SG

Everybody is expendable the Pistons glory days left with Cauncey Buillups. They have good players but they are all out of their primes.

Only Austin Daye, Greg Monroe, Rodney Stuckey, and possibly Jonas Jerebko have a secure future in Detroit.

FA:Get some new faces

12 Will Bynum G 6-0 185 Georgia Tech 3 Solid reserve

5 Austin Daye F 6-11 200 Gonzaga 1 Good young prospect

7 Ben Gordon G 6-3 200 University of Connecticut 6 Super scorer off the bench trade to contender

32 Richard Hamilton G 6-7 193 University of Connecticut 11 Veteran player best days behind him trade to contender

33 Jonas Jerebko F 6-9 220 Sweden 1 Young prospect

54 Jason Maxiell F 6-7 260 University of Cincinnati 5 Good reserve

1 Tracy McGrady G 6-8 223 Mt. Zion Christian Academy (NC) 13 Let him go

10 Greg Monroe F 6-11 250 Georgetown R Key to the next Generation Piston Regime

22 Tayshaun Prince F 6-9 215 University of Kentucky 8 Trade bait

3 Rodney Stuckey G 6-5 205 Eastern Washington University 3 Good player needs to find niche PG or SG

35 DaJuan Summers F 6-8 236 Georgetown 1 Not going to pan out

31 Charlie Villanueva F 6-11 232 University of Connecticut 5 Decent scorer could be included in trade

6 Ben Wallace C 6-9 240 Virginia Union 14 Keep him off the bench or trade him

23 Terrico White G 6-5 213 Mississippi R Nothing special

9 Chris Wilcox C 6-10 235 University of Maryland 8 Let him go

Draft:

Bismack Biyombo PF/C

Nolan Smith PG or Travis Leslie SG

FA:

Release: Prince Summers McGrady WIlcox

Sign: Role Players T.J. Ford true PG Daequan Cook Shooter Dashawn Stevenson Defender

Trades: Some Combo Hamilton Villanueva Gordon Bynum to Grizzlies for OJ Mayo Ish Smith or Tony Allen

2012 Roster

Starters

TJ Ford PG FA

OJ Mayo SG Trade

Kelenna Azubuike SF FA

Greg Monroe PF/C

Bismack Biyombo C/PF Draft

Reserves

Rodney Stuckey PG/SG

Austin Daye SF/PF

Ben Wallace C

Daequan Cook SG/PG FA

Travis Leslie SG/SF Draft

Jason Maxiell PF/C

Jonas Jerebko C/PF

Ish Smith PG Trade

Breakdown: Trading contracts and worn out players for young talent and infusing solid role playing players via FA is a start to the Detroit Blow up. Rodney Stuckey is a possible six man of the year candidate as a combo scorer off the bench. Ford is an average PG with good leadership skill for a very young team. I think Memphis would take Rip Hamilton Villanueva Ben Gordon and Will Bynum or any combination of these four for Mayo and Ish Smith. The trade makes them more Title ready now rather then building up for the title.

The way I see it, teams like the Cavaliers can't really "blow it up" because they are already in that rebuilding mode, especially now that they have two top four picks. In less than a year, they lost LeBron, Shaq, Ilgauskas, Williams and West...so, I mean, technically, it's already obliterated.

Blowing it up and rebuilding...this is what I'm reading.

I'm interested to see if anyone will consider the Celtics. Few have actually discussed what they should do in the offseason. KG, Pierce and Allen's run as a championship trio could be done, so is it right to blow it up and deal the pieces now, or wait and hope for another magical season, and risk having these guys end their careers like Hakeem, Barkley and Drexler?

Just the Bobcats for me. They need to get talent, and quickly. They got a good coach, a good system that's friendly to young players but there just aren't any great prospects worth developing at the moment.

Dont need to blow it up just get fresh legs

What should the Rockets do Via FA Draft and what are the teams top 3 needs.

My Rockets off season

Rockets Top 3 Needs

C:Chuck Hays does what he can, but he is not a starter he would serve Rockets better off bench

SF:Rockets need to address this need in the off season Budinger is ok, they need an offensive threat or lock down defender their to complement the Kevin Martin

Shooting PG/SG: Rockets need to get a combo guard to come off bench, hit the three and spread out defense

Resign Players:

Don't resign Yao or at least don't over pay to keep him

Sign Dragic back only if you can't find a scoring point guard

Sign Chuck back he is a gritty team player

Maybes

Brad Miller never can have to many bigs

Courtney Lee is still young and could be good player

Free Agents: Land one or more of these players

FA Big Board

Caron Butler

David West

Deandre Jordan

Marc Gasol

Nene

Wilson Chandler

Arron Affalo

Spencer Hawes

Glen Davis

JJ Berea

Josh Howard

Kelenna Azubuike

Josh McRoberts

If you land a good big man you then make Scola expendable (trade)

I think we push for De Jordan Rockets never pull trigger on free agents

and we get another avg big Big Baby Davis or prospect McRoberts

Draft: Pending on prior selections Rockets need to have a good draft in what is said to be weak draft class, but Rocks GM is decent at picking late 1st early 2nd picks

Agustin gets a shot to run the show so you see what you have there and Henderson is a decent SG with sweet shooting Jodie Meeks off the bench. Kopono can stretch defenses and Vesely will be an offensive weapon. Garrett Temple improves every time he get playing time and found a niche as a defensive combo guard. Josh Selby can take over PG if Agustin fails and he is a very good prospect. Brackins can back up Tyrus Thomas and Big Baby Davis.

^ First of all, I doubt the salary match regarding the trade. Kapono is a free agent.

Secondly, Vesely would not drop down to 9th, he just have too much upside for teams to pass up on him. Bobcats would probably get someone like Kenneth Faried at that spot.

Lastly, that team doesn't look any better than the team right now. Just looking around for an offensive option is difficult enough.

Not going to get better in one year hints blowing it up and starting over and the mock I had pulled up had him falling that far I was going off that and since Kapono is a FA the 76ers could resign him

and Oh and Go [expletive] yourself

First of all, don't talk to my posters that way.

He's right. Your trade doesn't work. You can't trade $21 million in salary to a Philly team that's giving back $2 million and a free agent, unless you think Philly is going to sign and trade Kapono for $17-18 million a year.

Same with the proposed Mavs and Clippers trades.

Thomas, Davis, Kapono, Henderson and Augustin would be the worst starting five in the NBA, also. Four of the five are bench players, and Augustin doesn't have the primacy on offense to create for guys that need spoon-fed their points. He shoots a very low percentage and doesn't have the passing ability of a Nash or Kidd...not even close. Defensively, they would be undersized. Kapono is a terrible defensive player. Davis can't defend, more scrappy than anything (like an oversized Nocioni). Henderson doesn't play defense. Augustin was one of the worst defenders on the Bobcats last season. Tyrus Thomas plays defense, but he's no Dwight Howard.

That Charlotte team would win 10 games.

Rockets are in denial, it's time to rebuild there.

Bobcats need to remove the rest of their pieces and go into a full fledged rebuild

Pistons need to try and dump those horrid contracts they gave out, be bottom 3, not mid lotto.

Suns need to blow it up, should have this year.

Magic should blow it up, get value for Dwight while you can.

There might be more, but that's just off the top.

As long as we have Yao Ming, I say go ahead and compete but by letting go of Adelman they are probably thinking of rebuilding.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns do blow the team up, but I don't see it happening.

I think the only sign of us blowing up would be to trade Nash, either for future picks or a young piece(s).

I've hopped on the trade Tony Parker bandwagon. He's probably our most valubale asset and is still young, package him with Blair or our 29th pick and maybe we could net a solid wing or big.

The big three of the Spurs are done competing for championships and it would be too hard for them to retool with a very weak draft, possible hard cap, and question marks on the new CBA. Richard Jeffersons contract is horrible, and if you want to get talent you have to trade talent. Parker is that guy, unless some teams have interest in Manu as well.

Sixers. Everyone except for Holiday and Turner(and if a good deal doesn't show up, Iguodala) should be up for grabs.

Smitty actually posting about basketball?

Denial is what we do best.

Yea Ima Rockets guy for life and it is time to rebuild. Scola is good but he won't win you games Lowry is good not great K-Mart can score but is a number 2 type of guy with no D or court vision. Put a fork in Yao he is done! The only player I say is untouchable is Patrick Patterson i think has the makeup to be a good player and a team leader.

I'd say the Nuggets... not necessarily that I want them to, but I think it will happen.

1.) I really think Kenyon will leave to join Miami or Dallas (hometown). They're legit title contenders, Kenyon would love to go back to his hometown, play for a fun owner in Cuban, and it wouldn't hurt for Mavs to add more toughness. But if Heat win the title, and they obviously need a tough PF like him, he would definitely consider Heat. Barring any more serious injury, Kenyon has 2-3 good years left in him, and I see him willing to sign a veteran minimum to join contenders.

2.) Nene could leave. He chose to opt out, but expressed his desire to resign long term... slim chance Nuggets let him go, but there's still a possibility of sign and trade if he receives an offer from another team the Nuggets are not willing to match. I wouldn't be surprised with a Nene trade.

3.) I think Felton will be traded... he's expressed his desire to start full time, want to become All Star. As long as Ty is here, that won't happen...

4.) Wilson Chandler may be let go for his choke job in playoffs (4ppg in playoffs... really?)

5.) I could see AA leaving if some team offers him a ridiculous offer the Nuggets are not willing to match, e.g. $8+ mil per... and sad to say as a fan, I could actually see it happen.

6.) We have so many young assets... I wouldn't be surprised if we make a draft day trade and move into lottery.

In fact, there are only three players I know the Nuggets are DEFINITELY going to keep: Ty, Gallo, Mozgov... (unless some teams offer their superstar for them). The rest is up in the air.

Good points I think AA could be a great player and I think the Nuggets should mos def try to keep him.
