Dash
David West underwent surgery to repair the torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee April 12, 19 days after injuring the knee in a game March 24 at Utah. “It’s going really well,” Young said. “I think it’s way ahead of schedule right now. He’s been in Raleigh full-time, and he’s on his way with good rehab and feeling really good about things.” Young, of Washington, D.C.-based Octagon Sports, said West, who can opt out of the final year of his contract with the Hornets, will wait until nearer the June 30 deadline to inform the team of his plans. “We’ve talked about it, and I think he’s going to wait until about a week before that to see where his knee is and how it feels and make an educated decision about where to go from there,” Young said. “We really haven’t discussed it because we have some time." Newman
He should be going. Carl Landry does a similar job to him already, and he is way cheaper.
Dash
Landry has expired and will probably command an MLE type deal in free agency.
Newman
David West would probably get 7-8 mil though. The difference in money isn't as far as I expected, but still.

Well you're right in the sense that one of the two isn't going to be coming back next year. West is more likely to be on the move since more teams will be bidding for his services, but in the off chance that West does pick up his player option then I wouldn't expect Landry back. ?QuestionMark?
It's unfortunate that he got injured because that's the only risk about him opting out. Still, I think if he's healthy he's the best unrestricted FA big man after Tyson Chandler who I'm sure Cuban will make sure remains with Dallas. This year's FA class is pretty weak as far as unrestricted FA. You got Chandler, Caron Butler, Tayshaun Prince, JR Smith, Kirilenko, and Glen Davis. Yao would normally be a main target but how much does anyone want to pay a guy whose career is always in questioned. Personally, I think West is overrated but he should test the market since someone will always overpay for a guy like him. He can easily get somewhere around 8-10 million. N.1.A.K.
West will make 7.5 mill if he does not opt out next year
Showtime16
West will make 7.5 mill if he does not opt out next yearYou guys are right only one of the two will be back. Witch one would you rather the Hornets sign back if you are a Hornet fan. I would sign Landry he is getting better and he will be a little cheaper then West who will prolly get a 7-8 mil deal since he is a top big FA.
