SRV
Pippen: LeBron 'Probably Greatest Player To Ever Play Game'May 27, 2011 10:36 AM EDT Scottie Pippen suggested, on ESPN Radio’s Mike And Mike In the Morning, that LeBron James, and not his former teammate, Michael Jordan, could end up being the greatest all-around player the league has ever seen. “Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to ever play in the game, but I may go as far to say LeBron James is probably the greatest player to ever play the game,” Pippen said. “Not only can he score at will, but he keeps everybody involved. You have to be on your Ps and Qs because everybody is a threat to score when he’s on the floor. Not only that, LeBron James will dominate the game on the offensive end and he’s able to do it on the defensive end as well. He can get in those passing lanes and dominate the game.”Click Pretty funny. I recall him saying that we weren't going to do anything as a team at the beginning of the season. Now he throws his own teammate who got him all those rings under the bus.

Check my Stats
Let's wait until he wins a bunch of titles first please.
EastCoastNiner
So Jordan didn't dominate on the defensive end, and didn't get his teammates involved? This is news. He shouldn't have gotten a good amount of his defensive awards and accolades towards the end of his career.
Owner Real Deal Posted May 27, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted May 27, 2011 He shouldn't have gotten a good amount of his defensive awards and accolades towards the end of his career.I'm sure that can be argued either way, but that doesn't mean much, considering how well he played in his absolute prime. Do you believe LeBron is already the greatest player ever? Or, at least, greater than Jordan? Anyway...I found this funny: THANK U SCOTTIE PIPPEN WHOEVER U ARE FOR SAYING THAT I AM BETTER THAN JORDAN WHICH YES I DO AGREE WITH.@LeBronJamesEgo

Cleveland's Finest
Pippen's slowly becoming one of LeBron's minions...It's such a slap in the face to Bulls fans to see him sitting in the front row with Randy Mims and LeBron's other henchmen. Pippen should be rooting for his team, not sucking on LeBron's dick. Have some pride.
The Lone Granger
This is really sad to see. First off, Pippen is a really close friend of Jordan's and basically just said that Jordan wasn't exactly what made him famous. I'm sorry, but defensively MJ was one of the best and I would even say the best guard to every play defense in the NBA. As for making his teammates better, you have to be kidding me Scottie P by saying that he didn't make his teammates better just like LeBron does. He averaged 5.3 assists per game in his career, and he always dished to his teammates. I don't get where this is coming from, but no LeBron is by no means better than Jordan. He's not even better than Kobe Bryant as a player right now in my opinion. Horrible to see Pippen do this.

EastCoastNiner
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYYcGE4-HG0&feature=player_embedded The only thing I can take from this video is that Stephen A. Smith confirmed that M.J. is indeed a completely arrogant, over-rated, and cocky person.

I didn't listen to the interview, but by those quotes posted here it just seems like the 2nd part where he says all that stuff about what LeBron does was NOT direct comparison to MJ, but just an analysis of LeBron's game. AboveLegit
Even if you're analyzing both of their games, and taking titles out of the equation, I don't see how LBJ is better than MJ. When Jordan was 26, he was just as good of an all around player as Bron, but was a much more dominant and talented scorer. He had already established various aspects of his game, and was impossible to stop. We often see Bron using his size and strength to generate offense, which doesn't have much to do with skill. Jordan excelled due to his ridiculous athletic nature and arsenal on offense. And Cleveland's Finest, stop hating on Pip. The man has been at every Bulls game, is a huge supporter of the Bulls and shows more support to that franchise than Jordan himself. He constantly praises the Bulls on his twitter account, and is a huge fan of Derrick Rose.
