GamerGuy
1. New coach, new voice. Phil is gone, Mike Brown is here, and while the thought of that is scary, it's also a little bit exciting. I have a feeling that certain players on the team, while they loved Phil, are looking forward to a new style next year. 2. Healthy as a horse. For the first time in a long time, the entire roster will be healthy going into the off-season. Kobe will have time to rest and strengthen his knee, and speaking of knees Bynum will have the whole summer to work on his game, instead of rehabilitating an injury. 3. Plenty of rest. An early exit from the post-season means plenty of R&R for the guys. Playing into June for three years straight takes it toll on the body, and having those couple of weeks off early will help tremendously. 4. Hunger is back. Let's face it, the hunger wasn't there this year. After getting swept in the second round, you can bet your bottom dollar that they'll be feeling the hunger pains next year. 5. It's the Lakers. Given our track record, you know that we won't have a lot of downtime.
Flash
Not a fan of the Brown hire but let's wait and see. I'm a bit skeptical of LA for next year because Kobe will be a year older and there's still some questions in terms of personnel. They will definitely be contenders though, no doubt. ?QuestionMark?
If it means less Fisher and no more Luke Walton, I'd look forward to that. if it means no more double teaming guys like Reggie Evans, I look forward to that. If it means LA will FINALLY learn to defend the pick and roll that has hurt them since Shaq was here, I look forward to that.
The Regime
Mike Browns emphasis on the defensive end of the floor will definitely help this team, what he draws up offensively is yet to be seen because the the Cavs and Lakers are on two totally different ends of the spectrum. I still think we need to try and trade for a couple more shooters this offseason, and atleast trade for a legit starting pg. Fish might have had his way under Phil's regime but things should change under Mike Brown.
