Nashty
I didn't think this belonged in any of the basketball forums since I'm not a famous basketball player, but I thought I'd ask it here. Anyone else have a problem with their basketball shoes cutting up the back of their heels? I do. I've tried several remedies, and nothing can seem to get it to stop. I always wear double socks, have tried bandaging and taping the back of my heels, but it doesn't stop it. The tape always slips down and the heels still get cut. The only thing I've ever gotten to work is using duct tape, but that eventually just irritates the skin. I tried double socking my feet with duct tape over the sock and that doesn't work very well either. Anyone have any remedies or suggestions that work? Cash is tight right now, so I'd rather not buy a new pair of shoes if I don't have to. Edited May 30, 2011 by Nashty
SRV
Yup, I have a pair of Wade converse that destroy me. I just stopped wearing them. I tried socks, bandages and all that but they still cut me up.
Dr. Feelgood
Any time I have shoes that cut up the back of my heels, I just keep wearing them and eventually they stop cutting up my heels. Just gotta toughen it out I suppose. It's a bitch but it does stop, at least for me.

Karl Malone
I got blisters on the side of my big toe from my shoes. But after a while it just got really hard now my toes are invincible.
Nashty
I used to have the blister problem too, but anymore I never get blisters. However, I've had this pair of basketball shoes for at least four or five years and they continue to cut up the heels. I'm guessing trying a different shoe might do the trick afterall. And no, it's not blisters on the back of my heels. It's actual cuts. Edited May 31, 2011 by Nashty
