The Lone Granger
The Wizards and Suns have been actively trying to move up to No. 2 overall, sources tell Draft Express.Draft Express is in the scouting service business more than the reporting game, so we're not going overboard here. But we know the Wolves will be willing to part with No. 2 pick for the right deal and Derrick Williams certainly fits at small forward with both the Wiz and Suns. It's going to be the pick to watch come draft night. Williams looks like a strong bet to go No. 2 no matter who owns the pick. rotoworld These two teams both could use an athletic small forward, and Williams is that guy. Think about Williams going up and catching alley-oops from John Wall. In all honesty, a deal involving Andray Blatche/JaVale McGee, Nick Young, and another piece or two very well could intrigue Washington. What do you guys think these two teams would need to give up? Thoughts?
Make It Naaaashty
I'm praying we move up and get this pick, Williams would be a perfect fit.
Check my Stats
Really don't see anything the Suns or Wiz could either offer to get the pick, unless the Wiz were giving their pick and everything else they have except Wall for it (which they should be trying to do). ?QuestionMark?
I don't see anything PHX has to offer that would appeal to Minny. Washington maybe if they offered their pick and McGee or Crawford.
AboveLegit
This makes me very, very happy. If we end up drafting a player not named Enes Kanter or Derrick Williams, I will be extremely disappointed.
Sun Tzu
I'd absolutely love to get Williams, but I also don't see what we can offer to be honest.
Dash
Suns have no chance. Wizards maybe (6th + Young/McGee/Crawford) but I wouldn't like it for Minnesota. Just take Kanter and be done with it.
AboveLegit
I'd absolutely love to get Williams, but I also don't see what we can offer to be honest.I think the Suns have a better chance than the Wiz to aquire the 2nd pick simply because Kahn is interested in a veteran big man. I've also read reports that he likes Gortat. If they can offer him Robin Lopez and Gortat along with their current pick, he might take it. I don't see any team being interested in Blatche, so I'm guessing Wolves are asking for McGee. At that point, Grunfeld has a huge decision to make, because while JaVale is hard to watch at times, he's still an intriguing prospect with a ton of potential.
