Paul
Ok so my sister needs a new laptop for college. Nothing fancy just for internet, microsoft word, etc.. I want one that doesn't overheat like her last one did. Price wise I would like to spend no more than 700. Find me some guys. Thanks a ton. Here is one my mom was looking at but I really have no clue about computers so tell me what you think and bring more to the table.http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.E247321.desc.HP-G4-14-Notebook-w-4GB-RAM-320GB-HD-HDMI-Port--Bluetooth

trutrojan8
I've had mine for a little over a year I think... no problems with it until literally 2 days ago, when the left mouse button stopped working. Not a big deal, I like using a mouse anyways though. Other than that I love mine!
Lkr
Put it this way:The one your mom is looking at is severely overpriced. It isn't a terrible machine, but at that price I couldn't recommend it.The Vaio posted is a solid option. However, I would go for this Acer: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215084It has an i5 and for that price it is hard to go wrong. I would recommend getting the 2 year extended warranty as Acer's warranty service is hit or miss. Some people have no complaints, some people have tons of complaints. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
