Oliver P Posted June 13, 2011 Report Share Posted June 13, 2011 Dirk just pulled a LeBron It ain't the fourth yet..   MVP race is going to get close if the Mavs close out today, Jason Terry is closing the gap between he and Dirk. I don't think so. Terry's been amazing in this game and very good in the last one, but he was terrible in the other three... So, if Dallas wins, being good in two games wouldn't be not enough for Terry to be MVP, even if Dirk doesn't wake up in this one and keeps playing so bad... I would be surprised if he didn't wake up in the second half anyhow. All what he needs is getting closer to the rim and scores easier baskets to get his confidence back. I certainly hope that he will cause he doesn't deserve this... Well anyway Dirk's been horrible in this first half yet the Mavs lead by 2... So I'm plenty satisfied so far. But again Dirk needs to wake up right at the beginning of the third. Funny how this Finals was all about defense in the first four game, and that now offense has taken over since the last game... Really weird. And about the fight the refs took the good decision, Stevenson shouldn't have shoved Haslem but Udonis and Chalmers shouldn't have reacted like they did. AboveLegit Posted June 13, 2011 Report Share Posted June 13, 2011 I highly doubt Dirk shoots this bad for another 24 minutes...I think when he went out of the game with those 2 fouls, he completely lost his rhythm. Â Miami's weakside rotations during their huge run was excellent, but they were pretty bad to end the half and when Dallas went on their run. Â If you're a Mavs fan/supporter/Heat hater, you gotta be satisfied with the score considering how bad Dirk is shooting the ball. Nitro Posted June 13, 2011 Report Share Posted June 13, 2011 Even though Spo has been thoroughly outcoached by Carslile this series, I've thought he's done a decent job...however, the one adjustment he has yet to make is to put Wade on Terry every minute he is one the court. House is plain awful defensively, Chalmers has a low bball IQ (especially in PnR situations), and LeBron is too flat-footed to keep up with him when Terry catched the ball off good team ball-movement. Wade has the size, athletcism and IQ to make life for Terry as difficult as possible, yet I constantly see House and Chalmers on Terry...that's unacceptable. Overall, once again a fantastic half of basketball in this series. The Heat are extremely lucky to be down by only 2pts with Dirk struggling so badly, and everyone knows that won't continue. They HAVE to slow Terry down if they are to have a chance. We just let shots go hoping they go in rather than taking a sure shot. The defense is horrible and the rebounding is horrible. Basically, we are playing horrible in all areas.
