MainEv3nt
Sporting a red Texas Rangers hat, New Jersey Nets point guard Deron Williams walked through the Dallas Mavericks locker room Thursday night, congratulating the Western Conference champions on their Game 5 NBA Finals victory. Williams made small talk with Brian Cardinal before embracing Jason Terry and chatting with Jason Kidd. Could the 26-year-old, who attended The Colony High School near Dallas, join the Mavericks in the near future? Williams becomes a free agent in 2012 and recently dropped his agent to sign with Leon Rose, who works with superstars like LeBron James , Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony. According to The Salt Lake Tribune , Williams holds a player option worth $17.7 million in 2012-13. After spending six seasons with the Utah Jazz, the two-time All-Star was traded Feb. 23 to the Nets. Some speculated that Williams was not pleased with the move to New Jersey. It is understood that he places winning above all else and could be a good fit with the Mavericks, considering its current 38-year-old point guard may be playing his final NBA games this postseason. http://nurize.com/sports/vids/vidfile/sports%20articles.html
