AboveLegit
"The irony to me is that LeBron is not Michael. LeBron is actually Scottie," former Bull and current television analyst Steve Kerr said Monday on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "He's so similar to Scottie in that defensively he was just a monster, could guard anybody, really more of a point forward than scoring guard. Scottie always loved to distribute the ball. That's really where LeBron's preference is. "Phil Jackson used to call Scottie a 'sometimes shooter.' Sometimes they would go in, sometimes they wouldn't. That's how it is with LeBron. He's a great talent and a great player but you can see his flaws as a basketball player. He doesn't have an offensive game that he can rely on: no low-post game, no mid-range jump shot so when the game really gets tough he has a hard time finding easy baskets and getting himself going. That's what Michael did in his sleep so that's why the comparison is wrong." "Michael had three years at North Carolina with Dean Smith. That makes a big difference," Kerr said. "I think he was brought up at a time when there was probably better development at a young age in terms of coaching. I think LeBron is a product of the AAU system where you rely on your athleticism, you go and play 100 games a year but maybe you don't focus on your weaknesses and what you need to lock in on. "As a result, fundamentally and technically LeBron has some flaws. He has to address those. If I were him I would spend all summer down on the low block shooting jump hooks and turnaround jump shots -- the entire summer."http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/news/story?id=6656859
Owner Real Deal Posted June 13, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted June 13, 2011 How many have been saying it for years? LeBron isn't MJ. He doesn't resemble him, at all.

JYD
How many have been saying it for years? LeBron isn't MJ. He doesn't resemble him, at all.Yeah, exactly. Even if he worked on his post game, he wouldn't be Jordan. Jordan was like 6'6, LeBron is at least 6'8 maybe 6'9. They just don't play at all like each other. The thing is Jordan had a jump shot like Carmelo and Kobe do...LeBron has a wack ass jumpshot. In the half ourt, LeBron either takes it through like 2 guys and can handle the contact cuz he's so strong or he scores on the fast break...he doesnt really score too many other ways lol...he is amazing at both though...\ I've always thought Kerr was one of the best basketball minds out there though. He really knows his shit.

He really knows his shit. Jordan never had a reliable jumper until later in his career. Both Kobe and 'Melo have always had much, much better shooting range than Jordan. htownborn
I kinda agree with this LeBron's like a mixture or Magic and Pippen than Jordan.
The Regime
He's Pippen because of his role on the team imo. If you're going to compare him to a star though I think the best comparion is to Magic. James has the same size and passing ability to Magic. And on top of that they're both versatile and can play multiple positions. However, Magic was clutch and I think and that's what separates them right now.
