Lakers after Raymond Felton?

The Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings are two teams with interest in prying Raymond Felton(notes) from the Denver Nuggets, league sources said. The Nuggets believe strongly in Ty Lawson(notes) as their point guard, and Felton, with a $7.5 million expiring contract, is expendable

Interesting...I can't see what Denver would want from the Lakers for Felton though.

I've wanted Felton on the Lakers since the 05 draft, but I wouldn't do it if it means dealing Odom.

LA's size is still their strength. The Lakers shouldn't go out of their way to adjust to the rest of the league, force the rest of the league to adjust to them. IMO, they can help their PG situation without trading their core by using their MLE or TPE. Just giving Blake more minutes with the starting unit in a conventional offense is an upgrade over last year.

I just dont get what people see in Blake imo he is a backup at best. But the rest I do agree with. Odom shouldnt be traded for Felton mainly because LA's strenght is their size. And having a player like him off the bench while implementing a new system is way more valueable than an upgrade at pg.

If it's involves trading anyone but Kobe, Pau, Bynum, and Odom then I'm all for it. We certainly need to upgrade at the position and send Fish to the bench. He's not only a good defender, but I don't think its a stretch to say that he would be our best three point shooter on the roster.

I think this would be a great move for the Lakers. I don't see Fisher being effective anymore for them and if they want to get back into the NBA Finals, they've got to make a move for a new starting PG. Steve Blake just doesn't cut it for them tbh, he's more of a back up PG.
