Owner Real Deal Posted July 2, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted July 2, 2011 I'm sitting here wondering how the hell OTR is going to make it, lol. Getting through the summer is usually bad enough.

Check my Stats
Just gives me more time to dedicate to the NHL now. Maybe if we can get some interest here we can expand that shit since that might be the only professional sport playing 6 months from now lol. More NCAA discussion too. The NBA sounds further on a deal than the NHL was. 22 teams are losing money, and it seems like the players don't understand this. The owners don't sound like they are budging either, but it's still early. Like it or not, there will be some shape or form of a hard cap in the NBA for the next season, and contracts will be rolled back. 22 teams are going to be fine just sitting and waiting, the current system clearly isn't working in terms of parity of success, or financially for the league as a whole. ChosenOne
NBA Websites Stripped of Players' Images Since the start of the lockout, NBA teams have been instructed not to promote players in any way. As a result, team websites have been wiped clean of any mention of the league's over 400 players. Gabe Feldman, the director of Tulane University’s sports law program, said there was no compelling legal reason to remove player images. He suggested the decision was “a symbolic move,” implying that the owners would not only shut down the league but would “stop promoting the players, too.” New York Times
