Owner Real Deal Posted July 3, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted July 3, 2011 Given that LeBron and Wade aren't that great playing off the ball, and Kobe and Shaq won three rings working together, and Nash needs the ball more than Kidd does, it's the first team for me. Plus, let's face the facts: if LeBron and Wade aren't able to get to the rim, they are done. With Kobe and Kidd defending the perimeter, and Shaq's 356-pound big ass in the paint, the game is over.

Kobe24
Team 1 Easily... Jason Kidd distributing to Kobe Tmac and Dirk with Shaq in the post to just kill people
Cleveland's Finest
Team 1. Team 2 wouldn't work well. LBJ and Wade love to drive, but with Duncan and Dwight in the paint it would be a cluster. Nash would become a 3 point shooter only.
EastCoastNiner
Team 2 is superior to team 1. According to most of you, D12 is a God on defense, and add onto that Duncan and LeBron. You have the best shooter from either team on team 2 as well. The inside presence on team 1 is only Shaq. Team 2 would eat them alive unless Shaq rapes D12. Check my Stats
Team 2 would be incredibly hard to score on, but team 1 would probably know their roles better. Nash would basically be a spot up shooter which makes him the equivalent to Eddie house. Iunno, I would probably take team 1 but team 2 is being slept on here, elite defenders at every position at the 1, best rim protector of all the players and a terrific post defender in Duncan. Team 2's offense would just be a cluster[expletive], but team 1 would take a ton of jumpers. Iunno, tomato tomawto. For the record, team 2 is more talented than team 1 by far. fish7718
Team 1 can spread the floor more with Dirk not to mention Shaq would rape Dwight Howard and Nash is a shit defender Jason Kidd first teamer...
?QuestionMark?
Team 1 all the way. The 2000 version of Shaq was the most dominant offensive player I've ever seen. Double, triple, quadruple team him and it didn't matter. Howard would foul out in 2 minutes trying to guard him.
Finch23
Nash and Kidd is a wash IMO. Nash is a horrible defender, but prime Kidd was a horrible shooter. Wade vs Kobe=Kobe EDGE TEAM 1 Tracy Mcgrady couldn't guard LBJ if his life depended on it. On offense between Kobe, Shaq, and Dirk there wouldn't be a lot of shot opportunities for Mcgrady. EDGE TEAM 2 We already know that Prime Duncan shit on prime Dirk both offensively and defensively. Dirk doesn't stand a chance against Duncan 1 on 1 in the low block so help would have to come. Duncan being an above average passer could hit the cutting LBJ/Wade or find Nash open for 3 on offense Dirk is a 7'0 shooting guard. Duncan would have to play more on the perimeter but back in the day he could move a lot better. Not to mention like I said before, between Shaq,Kobe, and Tmac when is Dirk going to shoot?. EDGE TEAM 2 Dwight Howard vs Shaq. Howard would definitely have trouble guarding Shaq. He might have the size, but does he have the strength to stop the diesel? Offensively I would like to see Nash and Howard run the high pick and roll, exposing Shaqs greatest weakness. EDGE TEAM 1 I'm going to give the overall advantage to team 2 (Not only because I'm a huge Duncan homer either). TEAM 1 has too many players that consistently demand the ball. Between Kobe, Shaq, Dirk, and Tmac somebody has to give. Kobe and Shaq would be the guys to likely contribute the most on offense, leaving Dirk and Tmac pretty useless. I also think you have to take into consideration the team chemistry. Obviously the Shaq and Kobe tandem broke up due to "conflicts", how do you think they could coexist with two other guys who need touches to be productive? TEAM 2 has some superior passing abilities, and is far less selfish than team 1. Not to mention outside of Nash 2-5 are all very good defenders.
