fish7718 Posted July 5, 2011 Report Share Posted July 5, 2011 I wouldn't really call Tex a snub tbh...don't get me wrong he's played great but his averages are well, average for a great 1B, there are other candidates more deserving at 1B, like Konerko and the other two chosen. However if we consider defense, which we don't, Tex is definite snub. Same for CC a bit, so many candidates in the AL like Haren, although I would like to see CC get the nod when he's got the credentials regardless of whichever young pitcher like CJ Wilson is doing well. Phightins Posted July 5, 2011 Report Share Posted July 5, 2011 Also, we need to remember that there are a handful of pitchers who won't be able to play in the ASG since they will pitch on Sunday (Hamels, Verlander, a few others I can't think of right now). The Indians deserved at least three in this event....they had two last year (Fausto & Choo), despite being one of the worst teams in baseball, yet we lead the AL Central now, and still get just two in?
