EastCoastNiner
Has anyone else followed this case? I've been watching it every day, and the verdict just came back as, not guilty. The media is probably shocked right now, and Nancy Grace is probably flipping out.

Owner Real Deal Posted July 5, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted July 5, 2011 I seriously can't believe that shit. You can get away with anything in this country. Not guilty on first-degree murder, lesser charge of manslaughter, aggravated child abuse, and basically everything other than providing false information to the cops. Wow. I bet you a lot of the jurors THINK she is guilty, but by the writing of the law, they may not have been able to hand down that decision. I think she's guilty as shit, and hopefully we find out the jury's reasoning. The closing arguments for the defense may have won them the case. trutrojan8
Could you imagine being Casey? Like, she did it, she knew she did it, and waiting to hear whether you get the death penalty or go off basically scotch free has got to be the most intense feeling ever. EastCoastNiner
This case should prove that you can never really know what the ruling will be until the actual verdict is read. Most of the media and people in general thought this was a slam dunk case.

They had enough proof to put her away. Her car, her chloroform, her kid, she lied to cops...other than video footage of her killing her own child, there's nothing more to put out there. People get convicted of shit with less evidence, all the time. Hell, if I ever had to defend myself for killing someone, I'll just say that someone ran up from behind me, put a gun in my hand, and forced me to pull the trigger. That's basically it. My fingerprints could be on the gun, I could have traces of gunpowder on me, I could even say that I put the guy in my trunk and buried him, but all I have to say is that someone else pushed my finger into the trigger, and that I just tried to hide the body so the family of the guy wouldn't be so upset. Ridiculous.
deestillballin
This makes me sick to my stomach. If you dont want a child. There are many people that do. I swear Florida is just known for crazy BS.
Phightins
Possessing an ounce of marijuana near a school could put you away for 8 years, but Casey Anthony is a free woman. America!
NomarFachix
Oh, the evidence of a decomposing body in my trunk? That wasn't my daughter.. it was someone else. Wait, no.. it was something else. Err.. it was nothing. It was a decomposing nothing.

Ridiculous. They had a lot of different evidence, but couldn't put it all together. Also, I question the validity of the chloroform searches, and whether or not there really were 84 searches, as the prosecution claims. However, I have no doubt she is guilty as hell, and I bet her dad knew what happened as well. However, I don't know the exact reasoning of the jury. Maybe they will do an interview and let us know the reasoning for their decision.
EastCoastNiner
The alternate jurors may be answering questions in a little while. However, none of the jurors that decided the case are going to answer questions today.

SRV
She still has a target on her head. She might not have been guilty, she has to live with that guilt everyday and no one wants anything to do with her. She is basically going to live in guilt in the open world where anyone can get to her and she has no protection. Karma will get her.
EastCoastNiner
Because they are cowards. They will eventually do one, but not right after the trial.... Not to mention, I'd wait until someone offers me tons of money to talk about it as well. Edited July 5, 2011 by DaBearsfan101

Owner Real Deal Posted July 5, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted July 5, 2011 They will eventually do one, but not right after the trial....Sure they won't right after the trial, because they are cowards. They just finished explaining to themselves why they didn't believe she was guilty, so it shouldn't be so damn hard to go on a mic and tell the world. They just need time for things to calm down a bit, and for them to come up with better things to say, or else the media is going to verbally kick their ass. They know they did wrong. They know that slut is guilty. Unless they have reason to believe that George killed that little girl, they have nothing to say.
Lkr
ok so living in Orlando when it happened, I can safely tell you that with all of the local news coverage before it was a national thing, it was painstakingly obvious she was the [expletive]ing killer. the fact that she is getting away with killing her daughter is sickening. I think she is guilty as well. However, the prosecution could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Casey killed her Caylee. The couldn't prove motive, and they couldn't prove the cause of death. They can have all the circumstantial evidence they want, but they didn't prove their case well enough.

[expletive]ing stupid. How is she not even guilty of Child Neglect? Is this real life?
Phightins
Meh, if I were on the jury, I'd want to be left the hell alone right now too. Or like ECN said, wait until somebody offers big money before talking. But I'd certainly want the microphones and cameras out of my face until then. reno
There wasn't enough evidence, all circumstantial. Jury made the correct call and saved a life, god bless them. Would hate to see a person get sentenced to death all based on "circumstantial" evidence.
