ChosenOne
Chargers need to get active quick. I would like them to resign Malcolm Floyd, Eric Weddle at the very least, but if we can manage to get upgrades at both of those spots then I wouldnt really mind losing those guys. Warren2ThaG
Holmes isn't even that good nemore, I'd rather have Sidney Rice or Floyd Edited July 26, 2011 by Boyz2Men

Dash
Not sure what to make of these rumors of the Texans signing Asomugha, some say we're going to dig deep in our pockets to get him and others say we will pass up on him.
Make It Naaaashty
I just hope the Niners can get Orton somehow. Without a QB we aren't going to make any noise any time soon. No way Karpernick can come in and automatically make a difference.

I would like Asomugha on the Texans but if we have to dig deep in our pockets and sign him to a big contract like the Skins did with Haynesworth I would rather just pass and get someone else. I can see the Texans getting someone like Gerald Sensabaugh who knows how to play the 3-4 and who has experience with Wade Phillips.

ChosenOne
Im hearing lots of rumors that Raiders are making a big splash for Antonio Cromartie. Its not considered a big splash when you downgrade from the second best CB in the league to Cromartie.

Dash
The Newark Star-Ledger confirms the Jets have "reached out" to free agent Nnamdi Asomugha. This comes on the heels of an earlier report from ESPN's Adam Schefter that the Jets plan to "make a run at" Asomugha to pair him with Darrelle Revis. Multiple reports suggest Asomugha is willing to leave money on the table to sign with playoff contender, and Rex Ryan's squad fits the bill. Asomugha also has designs on an acting career, which may give the Jets yet another edge http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2011/07/jets_contact_free-agent_corner.html
Dash
Matt Leinart to the Seahawks, the Texans apparently wanted to bring him back. http://www.profootballweekly.com/2011/07/26/report-seahawks-leinart-agree-to-deal
The Great iBoldin
I'm confused. I thought free agency didn't start till Friday? I'm a bit out of the loop on all this, why did Leinart sign with Seattle before Friday?

Dash
You can talk to free agents and get verbal agreements.
The Great iBoldin
I figured. You'd think they'd keep Friday as the opening and that's that. Stupid to be able to talk to free agents before that unless they're your own team.
NomarFachix
Cofield to Washington, nooooooooooooooooooooooo Didn't think he'd come back to the Giants, but definitely wanted to root for him elsewhere. Now I'm screwed.

Now I'm screwed. You think he can be a starter in the 3-4? I'm happy with the signing, just been skeptical as to how he fits our defense. Love the fact that he's a hard worker, durable, and plays with a great motor.
