I haven't played a single title that has been so original it just wow'd be right out of my chair. Games are much more mainstream now, and have gone down the [expletive]ter. I can't even name 1 title that came out this year or will come out this year that has me up and down in excitement(well, unless the Japanese release of a Pokemon REMAKE counts). I remember games used to come out that I got so excited for and I couldn't sleep the night before they came out. The only games that actually entertain me right now are NBA 2k9, Gears of War 2, and Soul Calibur IV. billt chamberlain Posted August 4, 2009 Report Share Posted August 4, 2009 i agree with the op. i don't know what it is, but i guess i just grew out of video games. i used to play them religously as a kid and teen, but now i don't care for them at all. i don't know what it is though, the technology is great, the graphics are great, and the features are great but im just not interested anymore. i find myself playing tetris on my phone more than i play my xbox 360. back when i was 16 and 17 and working, every check i got i would buy like two video games, but now i hardly buy them. my brother plays my 360 like five hours every single day, so its not going to waste though.  at least i got to play sonic, mortal kombat, street fighter, tekken, mario, and ninja turtles while coming up. I used to do nothing but play all sorts of games when I was younger, N64, PS, PC. I mean that's all me and my buds did really. Now I just find myself playing sports games, and rarely at that. I'm getting really tired of MLB 2K9, I play on Hall Of Fame difficulty or w/e and I swear it's impossible to beat the CPU when you actually play the game. Your lucky if you can score, and then the CPU always comes back late to win the game. No point in playing it, and then switching the difficulty lower just makes it waaaay too easy. Now that games are $60 I only buy ones that will get me addicted to online play, shooter games, or remakes of classic games I like. I still get excited for games but I don't buy every game in my site. i don't see why you don't like the games LKR, there are really good games out there. The people that strictly play sports games can't get excited because its basically an expansion pack on the game released the year before, they rarely make any big time changes to sports games.
