Nitro
Very excited about this album. I loved all 3 of his previous albums and his mixtape shit, so I'm expecting big things, especially with Dre working with him again. I think Game gets slept on too often and gets hated on for his various beefs and other bullshit, but dude has really good, old-school talent. Nitro
So, a few hours ago I downloaded this album, burnt it onto a CD, and went to the car to ride around and bump it (the only way to truly appreciate an album IMO). My verdict... Instant classic (or very, very close to it). The album is excellent. Keep in mind that I am a very, very tough critic when it comes to rap, and this album really took me off-guard and impressed me in a way that no other album has in the last few years (besides Distant Relatives, which isn't pure rap..this blows Watch the Throne way out of the water). First off, Game's lyrics are top-notch, and he goes through a bunch of different ideas and themes throughout the album. The production for 90% of the songs is crazy, and has kind of a darker Documentary feel to it. Most of the guest appearences are very good, although there's 1 or 2 chorus' that I'm not a fan of. Even the Dre skits where he narrarates the album fit very well and definitely add to the whole concept. I hate making quick decisions after a first listen-thru, but I really can't recall the last time I took to an album quite like this one. Must-listen. Nitro
best song has to be paramedics with jeezy Yeah, that's a great song, although I don't like the Game immitating Jeezy's voice...I couldn't tell who the [expletive] was who when I first listened to it. I'm also really, really feeling California Dream right now.
Guru
Decent album, but instant classic? I have to disagree with you there. Not even top 5 this year IMO.

Guru
I thought the album was dope as [expletive]. Definitely top 5 this year.Section 80, Random Axe, WTT, The Greatest Story Never Told... with Lost Tapes II, Cole World, TM103, and a few I'm probably missing still to come out. It's close but I'm going to have to wait to put this in the top 5 of the year.

It's close but I'm going to have to wait to put this in the top 5 of the year.I'm not as big on Section 80 as others are, I think it's better than Random Axe, I (personally) like it a lot more than WTT, and I haven't listened to Saigon in forever.. Lost Tapes 2 will probably kill it, and Jeezy always puts out fire.. but I can't say it's outside of the top 5. But I guess like everything else, it's opinionated. It's close but I'm going to have to wait to put this in the top 5 of the year. That idea got canned (although Nas' new solo album will probably be sick judging by the 1st single). Also, no way is WTT better than this, and I prefer it to Section 80. Haven't listened to Random Axe or The Greatest Story Never Told. My 2nd favorite album this year was W.A.R by Pharoahe Monch.
